Harry Kewell anybody heard of him ha ha he has scored 33 in 61 games at galatasary

They love him there don't they?

How is Baros getting on?

Turan's record in Europe is even better than his record in Turkey. 1 goal in every 4 games and an assist in every 2 (over 39 games)

I'm very pleased for him. I always liked Kewell and he was better than he got credit for for us.

If he has managed to overcome his injury problems, it shouldn't be so surprising that he is doing very well. He is a very intelligent footballer and with his skill on the ball that ought to be able to compensate quite a bit for what he may have lost physically. With an extended run, it doesn't surprise me if he has adapted his game well.

Yeah I don't get the Kewell hate - at the end of the day he was just unlucky with injuries here, who the f*ck wants to get injured? Always seemed a nice enough lad, and picked us ahead of United etc because he supported the club.

Really talented footballer as well, shame it didn't work out that well here for him but pleased he's doing well over there. Even though he was classed as a failure at Liverpool, we looked a really good side the one season he played plenty of games.

Was brilliant in the Cup semi final against Chelsea, and showed just how big a difference a proper wide man can make to a team.

I was besotted with Kewell. Went the barbers and asked for a Kewell cut, had his name at the back of my shirt and all that as well.

Really thought it would work out, and it did until he got injured.

For £5m we did well. He was worth that, at least.

He was a £20-£30m player at Leeds though. Superb.

Kewell samurai hair ?

We didn't pay enough attention to his injury record at Leeds. But thats when our lack of financial muscle really showed. Having to get injured players on free transfers and massive wages because we couldn't afford to compete for the top players like we are now with Suarez and Carrol and hopefully going forward in the summer.

Nobody doubted Kewell's talent on the ball, problem was always going to be keeping him fit and on form, as with Joe Cole, as with Agger now unfortunately.

He stole a living from us.

on purpose? he had arthritic complaints, knee injuries, ankle injuries, thigh injuries. . . .perhaps the medical regime at the club wasn't helping him properly?

The guy who fixed his on-going issues Peter Brukner is the guy who became our head of sports science in the summer. We were a bit of a joke before he came in, we had a GP heading up the medical side of things.

I don't think you worded that very well.

Going in for Kewell was a no-brainer. I'd have been absolutely mad if he were available for that price we bought him at and we hadn't gone after him.

The more you look back on it, under Parry and Moores' 'stewardship' the club was pretty much a joke from top to bottom. Ran us like a Championship club.

We used to wrap Kewell in cottonwool, then he'd go to East Asia with Australia to play a nothing game and injure himself again. Seeing him in our roster but not in the squad was really frustrating.

The turkish league must be really really rubbish if Baros (39 in 61), Kewell and Djibril (53 in 86) are doing so well! I saw Kewell in the Asian Cup, he has two great feet, but he cannot move at all. As slow as Poulsen.
