Epic Swindle Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 The reduced kids ticket is excellent but the rest is scandalous. I don't know how people can afford it.
Cobs Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 seem pretty reasonable considering where Premier League football is at these days great move on the kids tickets
floyd the barber Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 i think this is fantastic news... "Matchday tickets for Category A games have increased by £1 for the Kop and £2 for other stands. Tickets for Category B games have increased by £2, while for Category C matches Kop prices have risen by £1 and all other stands by £2. The most expensive ticket at Anfield will now be £48 for a Category A game (for example: a Centenary Stand seat v Manchester United) whilst the cheapest adult ticket will be £39 for a Category C ticket in the Kop (for example: a Kop seat v West Bromwich Albion). Following feedback from supporters, the Club has reduced all children's ticket prices by up to £8, with every junior Barclays Premier League ticket now priced at just £15, regardless of the match category. This is in line with us wanting to encourage the next generation of supporters." also regarding the adult prices, 48quid...is a bargain in comparism to other clubs in the premiership.
johngibo YPC Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 The reduced kids ticket is excellent How many kids tickets are actually available for each home game?
johngibo YPC Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 also regarding the adult prices, 48quid...is a bargain in comparism to other clubs in the premiership. Its not Season tickets have gone up by 6.5 % The VAT thing isn't really their faultTo be fair, they passed on the VAT saving when their was one
Cam Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I'll whinge the same as last summer regarding the difference between internet prices and window sales... We'd often go over for the day, have a shop in Liverpool One, do some sight-seeing, spend money in cafes, maybe do the stadium tour again, we'd have eaten in the Boot Room this time round and - crucially - go into the shop and be tempted to spend big on impulse buys. They're losing out on that - I can't be that only one who would make a special trip over for it. £802... feck, they could at least us off the £2.
johngibo YPC Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) same price as west brom. West f***ing brom Its still not a bargainAnd category A is the same price as category A for West Brom. I bet they do decent deals on season tickets, and Everton pay about £15 when they go Just checked, Adult season tickets at West Brom start at £399. Dearest one is $499. Kids season ticket prices start at £129So in summary Al, you can shove it up your a*** Edited May 17, 2011 by johngibo YPC
Epic Swindle Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 How many kids tickets are actually available for each home game? Not sure. It's a worthy initiative if the demand is there I suppose.
johngibo YPC Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) Not sure. It's a worthy initiative if the demand is there I suppose. The Demand is there. I'm not sure how many kids tickets are available each game. 500?Edit: and you have to buy with a full price adult ticket, and there is no kids season ticket priceMy point is the idea of 'kids tickets' is slightly misleading (misleading is the wrong word) Edited May 17, 2011 by johngibo YPC
Sion Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) I'd still take a ST for next season without a moment's doubt.Obviously it'll fluctuate depending on success, but the ground will always be full as we're run soundly. Edited May 17, 2011 by Sion
Boca Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 One of the things the previous yanks were looking at (yeah I know I know) was having a package of 10 games for sale. Now of course this never happened along with everything else they proposed but it seemed like a good idea as an alternative to a season ticket.
Epic Swindle Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 The Demand is there. It'll barely make a dent with the rise in adult prices as well. While the demand is there it's only going to get worse unfortunately.

Less than 10 years ago we sent aload of away tickets back to chelsea when they tried to charge up 48 quid It's pretty ropey that we are now doing the same to out own
Cobs Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Agree. Less than 10 years ago we sent aload of away tickets back to chelsea when they tried to charge up 48 quid It's pretty ropey that we are now doing the same to out own first time i went to stamford bridge was in 1996 and I paid £50 then, the fact that 15 years later our most expensive ticket is still cheaper than that is not bad - football is still well over-priced - but whaddyagonnado?
Mike Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 The reduced kids ticket is excellent but the rest is scandalous. I don't know how people can afford it. are you messing?its a below inflation increase. it's basically vat only and the kids tickets are £15. im impressed.

I was pointing out it was the same west brom I was arguing with Floyd the point that it wasn't a bargain and you replied to me. You cant just wade in with a casual point Alan. You're either with me or against meOh and its both. They have frozen season ticket prices. In fact they have only put them up once in the last 5 years

Less than 10 years ago we sent aload of away tickets back to chelsea when they tried to charge up 48 quid It's pretty ropey that we are now doing the same to out own rubbish. anything that cost £1 this time last year now costs roughly £1.10. you're taking a price point from 10 years ago man Edited May 17, 2011 by Mike

Not keep hammering the fans? I think it is pretty poor given the current economic situation to be honest and the demographic of those who watch Liverpool rubbish. anything that cost £1 this time last year now costs roughly £1.10. you're taking a price point from 10 years ago man The club supported a boycott. Where's the cut off point in this Mike?
Cobs Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Not keep hammering the fans? not sure this is a hammering tbh but then i'm not buying...
johngibo YPC Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 rubbish. anything that cost £1 this time last year now costs roughly £1.10. Has inflation really been 10% in the last year? Ian Ayre seems to think 4.5%I would also prefer if ticket prices increases/decreases reflected how wages in the area had changed rather than oli prices, but i suppose thats unrealistic But to be honest, i'm not too suprised overall. It was more the word 'bargain' that i objected to
