How do you solve a problem like Howard Webb

Before anyone starts, I am not talking about anything as tawdry as threatening him, or death threats or other such tabloid fodder, but he needs to be stopped. If he'd made the decisions he's made against us against united, he'd never referee them again. It's beyond 'evening itself out' or incompetence, he is a poor ref, and he clearly has a bias against us.

 

We need to make his appointment to our games so contentious, the FA don't quietly avoid the issue, and he's overlooked. If the club aren't going to kick up a fuss, the fans should.

 

And whilst we are at it, someone needs an official answer as to why have we not had Clattenburg, one of the better referees, since late 2007?

I said to my brother (who is a spurs fan).. when i saw webb and his fat bald head running around that they would get the decisions. The pen was a joke.

The clubs hand in assessments after every game, don't they? Hopefully the club savages him in that even if they keep it shut in public. Though looking at the state of things it seems the only way to get your way is to go the Ginsoak route. It's a sad state of affairs.

Won't happen though because Kenny has too much class to say what he would have to and Webb has managed to carve a niche out for himself as the 'best and most respected' ref, which too many people buy into.

That today, Berbatov's dive v Agger, Masherano fouls Valencia outside the area - all penalties. Fabregas handball in the area, Gallas nearly murdering Gerrard etc and he just ignores it!

 

He didnt even give the most stonewall penalty ever for us at Utd this season, his linesman had to give it after he ignored it.

 

It's completely out of control. But he doesnt seem to answer to anyone, apart from the Manchester Utd manager.

Maybe this is something the fans groups like SoS and Kop Failthful can get on, now that G&H have f*cked off.

 

Public / formal complaints to the FA, wouldn't expect the FA to cede or anything, but the more bad publicity for him reffing Liverpool games the better.

I'm surprised he didn't send Suarez off, but other than that he was just at his consistent level of awfulness in terms of decisions against us.
