Chewie Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 No one saw it coming when it did... We all knew there'd be a contract, we all guessed when it might be announced but like the appointment of Ayre, the promotion of Comolli, the deal with Warriors, the signings of Suarez and Caroll we now seem to be a club that is doing things the right way...unified and proactive and behind closed doors... It kinda makes me wonder about the summer...of course some of our signings are gonna be players we've been linked with as we've been linked with so many and it's not as if players aren't in the public eye... I just think this club will take us all by surprise once or twice this summer..the whole thing feels like they know what they're doing and it hasn't felt that way in such a long time... Fantastic Chewie
Tosh Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Somehow doubt the Manager will be briefing tame press men. Nor the Chief Exec his tame press men. Nor an owner doing any PR stunts We fell a long way, but have come back quickly.
Coyler Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I think no matter when it was announced it would have felt like brilliant and clever timing, just because it's brilliant news. I thought like a lot of people it would be in the run-up to the last game, and if that had have happened I'm sure we would have been seeing the genius in it, if we won. And if they had have waited till after the last game, it would have been classy and very Liverpoolwayesque or something.

Kenny, the young players, the pass n move, the unity, the belief, the professionalism, the direction... it's just right isn't it! Chewie Edited May 14, 2011 by Chewie
Elm0 Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I dont think any of could have predicted the time, but we all knew it was coming sooner rather than later?

No leaks, no loose talk, you'll know when you need to know... it's just right Chewie

kingkenny77 Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I love the fact that the press haven't got a clue what's going on a return to the Liverpool Way of the old days when the first thing you knew about a sale or purchase or arrival departure was when it happened. Hope we keep all the stuff in house and I can't wait to hear who has been bought and sold via an announcement on lfc.tv.
