Red Kent Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I have never been totally convinced by appointing Kenny long term, there was always something nagging in the back of my mind and even now I really cannot put my finger on it. However, after this performance and many since January, there is only one man who deserves to be sitting infront of the team photo next season, and that man is Kenny Dalglish. Announce it before Spurs please.
Cobs Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Gonna happen sooner or later Not like he's gonna get snapped up by someone else

Dan Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Ben Smith says it's virtually done barring a couple of minor technicalities. Not news really as it's blatantly obvious.
owenthomas Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 i was similar to Kev in that i didnt want Kenny to get the job in the summer - for me it was all about not letting him have any association with G&H.. once the Hodge had gone though i was all for getting him in - he was quite clearly the only sensible choice and seeing his little face walking down the touchline of Old Trafford first game in charge was a sight to behold.. he MUST get the job full time and i am so fkin happy for him cos he clearly wants it too.. love ya Kenny lad.. always have, always will..
Dan Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Kenny as relaxed as he's ever been when asked about it then. Reckon it will be announced this week.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 we have had a couple of blips - but then again so has every team this season - we have also beaten the Mancs, that s***heap from Salford & Chelsea; plus the never say die vs Arsenal (Spuds still to come) - we've bagged 5 twice in the last 3 or 4 games. I - and most - have gone from 'ho hum' towards the next fixture to wishing the season had another 3 months to run. We never needed further proof but we got it - he is the king

RedHarvest Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 It's beautiful and poetic how he's galvanised the club, given us fans the belief, inspired the players, dealt with the press...I'm sure they're just dotting the i's and crossing the t's on his deal. I think we'll challenge next season, but we're kind of having this honeymoon period with the him at the moment; we have yet to be properly, severely tested - when we are, next season, I think king Kenny will prove himself totally the right man.
Jim D Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Kenny's convinced me, I still wanted Rafa back but if we keep turning in performances like what we've seen over the past few weeks, Kenny is a shoe in. What a f***ing legend! I honestly never though I'd see the day this season that we would see a run of results like this, absolute magic! Fulham 5-2Newcastle 3-0Brum 5-0Man City 3-0 Come back from 1-0 down against Arsenal with barely injury time remaining. Unbelieveable stuff from the King, give him the contract he deserves now!

AnfieldCop Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Let us first try to beat Spurs first, and then announce the appointment of Kenny at Anfield after the match. What would that be? Long live the King !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU KENNY !!!!
smithdown Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Best moment of the last two seasons was Kenny waving to away end at OT, seeing the reaction and then punching the air in delight.
