Liverpool fury over sick Heysel T-shirts on United fans' website

A Manchester United fans' website has sparked outrage by selling souvenirs taunting Liverpool football supporters over the Heysel Stadium disaster.

 

Republik of Mancunia Merchandise is selling T-shirts and badges emblazoned with three stars and bearing the slogan 'Without Killing Anyone'.

 

 

This is a clear reference to United's three European Cup wins and to the riot before the 1985 final in Brussels between Liverpool and Juventus when 39 Juventus fans died.

 

UEFA banned English clubs for five years. Disgusted Liverpool fans branded the sellers as 'shameful' for 'profiting from the dead'.

A club supported by such scumbags doesn't deserve any kudos for taking away that record. The twisted c**** will always be obsessed with us.

Seems so. He seems to have a reputation for selling them. They were taken off the other day. He was gloating to anyone welcoming the move that they've been taken down before but still came back.

just curious at the mail reporting it now. ah yes, united are in the european cup final in a couple of weeks aren't they.

I think I'm less bothered by them securing 19 than I expected and that's because I've gotten used to them being a better team than us over the last 20 years. I also think we need to focus not on the total number of championships rather than the next one. Like do the titles we won prior to any of us being alive matter as much as the ones we've failed to win in the last 21 years?

 

I just have faith in Dalglish and the owners to assist us in putting up a stronger challenge next year than we have recently

Probably wasn't even born when Heysel happened, possibly not even Hillsborough. If he had been, doubt he'd have even thought of pulling this stunt.

Swan Red is right about focussing on the next title. Its not about records and catching up, or any rivalry with them. Kenny will have us right again with the right backing from the owners and commolli.

Im not that bothered either. I think it would hurt more if it was the European Cups. Dont know why but even with the likes of Real and Milan having more than us Im still proud of our European heritage. Maybe its cause we won the last one in recent times.

I'm the same, we've got a lot to be optimistic about and let's be honest, in all of the seasons that they've won the Prem it's not as though we've been their closest rivals to win the title.

 

On the other point, all clubs have a section of kn*bhead fans, most United fans I've met or known have been alright tbh. They deserved the title because they know how to do just enough to win the games that matter.
