coupled with the illegal payments to 3rd party agents and supplying false documents/information to the FA and I see a points deduction big enough to drop them into the play offs - at least. Former FA boss Palios seems to think a points deduction is inevitable, the only question is how severe will it be? Cardiff must be thinking they are still in with a shout of automatic promotion.

Personally I think they will get absolutely hammered.

unfair on the players if they get docked points..

why not ban them from the transfer market for a season....let the players that got them up prove themselves and the chance they deserve.

at the expense of clubs who adhered to the rules and didnt seek an advantage by circumventing those rules?

Nah f*** em, if it was the tossers who did this we'd want a hanging, as its Warnock and company, well, a hanging will do.

This comes down to if you would rather have another london club in the prem or a welsh club... I don't really care!

Think they should be docked the full 15 points

Why should they get away with this. It's effectively fraud

"Midfielder Faurlin was signed by QPR from Argentine club Instituto de Cordoba in July 2009 in a deal reported to be worth £3.5m. However, it has now been reported that Instituo have not received any monies from the transfer and the deal was instead allegedly agreed with a third party over the player's economic rights and that QPR failed to notify the FA of this.

Furthermore, QPR have been accused of using an agent not registered or approved by world governing body Fifa during the transfer.

In addition, when extending the player's Hoops contract last year, QPR and Paladini have been accused of falsifying FA documents to cover up the true nature of the player's original contract.

The alleged events were uncovered last September by the Football League - but they passed the case to the FA as they had no rules regarding third-party ownership.

And the 24-year-old was given the go-ahead to continue playing in the Championship despite this after they gave the green-light for QPR to buy-out his third-party contract and make him unreservedly a QPR player.

Haha

"West Ham's punishment did not include breaching the rule on third-party ownership as it was only put in place following the Tevez affair."

Oh, Alanis, time to warm up the vocal cords love.

It's like going down, on the very last day

when a home draw, would have seen you safe

but you put the blame, on everyone in your way

and I can't help but snigger

Colin, isn't it ironic, don't you think

A little tooooooo ironic, yeah I really do think.

Theres no excuse for them doing it. Im sure Warnock the c*** knew all about the deal. He knew the rules as well as anyone with the stink he kicked up about Tevez and Mascherano at West Ham. Theres no excuse for it and he should be hit at least as hard as he was calling for West Ham to be hit, probably more so as he knows the rules, which i also believe have been tightened since then.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the case, it's utterly ludicrous it's taken so long to make a decision. Having to move the playoffs because of it is the height of incompetence from the FA, as usual.

I wonder were the FA hoping QPR would be out of sight at the top of the Championship by now? They were pissing the league when the FA "investigation" began. If they had maintained that form then a points deduction wouldn't affect them getting promoted and the playoffs would be unaffected as well.

Ah right i thought they only signed him in the summer.

Some FA guy supposedly told a journo on Twitter (can't remember who) that he thinks a 10 point deduction will be imposed.

Surely a points deduction isn't a penalty unless it costs them something worthwhile. Therefore unless it at least moves them out of the automatic promotion zone, it is useless.

If they were cleared to play him by the Football League and the Football League were in possession of the facts they will have a fairly robust defence when it goes to court.

Has there not been some suggestion that QPR falsified some of the documentation submitted when registering him?
