Exporting Used Cars to the Far East

Anyone ever looked into this type of thing? We happen to have a relative who has a shipping company who ships to the Far East so have been thinking about it.

 

Its mad what prestige European cars sell for in places like Hong Kong and Singapore, a 12 month old Porsche Cayenne sells for about £150k! They literally cost more than double what they do here. Most seem to have prohibitive import taxes to try to discourage it, but there do seem to be a couple of countries its viable to sell to.

 

Any of our resident businessmen ever looked into doing this? Think the exchange rate is a factor at the moment in the difference in price as well.
