Gerry Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) Or even... Protest Scarf I hope they haven't made too many of them since they seem to have left out the apostrophe in "the people's club". Talking of which it should be Everton's not Evertons. Edited April 20, 2011 by Gerry
dorgie Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) Link's not working for me Ah, Gerry's one is. Edited April 20, 2011 by dorgie
Gomez Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 And why is it in the clubs current colours? The reason man u used the norwich city colour scheme was specifically because it would stand out against the red and white. Though never did understand why the club never countered it with a yellow and green away shirt.
Sion Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Thats a piss take? Why is there a Liverbird on it? They've been going on for a while that we've stolen the liverbird when its actually the city's logo.Don't know if its down to that.
Gomez Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Apparently it's not a pisstake, according to the forum on that site. WTF are they protesting for though? "What do we want?""Something!""When do we want it?""At some point!"

badtodabone Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 The scarf colours were chosen to represent the success and iconic period the club has enjoyed, with the likes of Harvey, Kendall, and Ball all wearing the famous Everton away colours during the club’s heyday of the sixties. iconic away colours?????????????
MarkD Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I love it, more please. The Peoples(sic) ScarfThe Blue LiverbirdEverton 2 Liverpool 1 (shop) No status No optimism - more like no one is paying us any attention and we are trying so hard. We are a big club. We are. We are.
johngibo YPC Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 WTF are they protesting for though? Against Kenwight basicallyThey want him to actually put the club up for sale, rather than pretend he has
Gomez Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Against Kenwight basicallyThey want him to actually put the club up for sale, rather than pretend he has Are you sure it's not just that no f*cker wants to buy it?
johngibo YPC Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Are you sure it's not just that no f*cker wants to buy it? I think its a mixture really. Worse clubs have been bought and sold
MarkD Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I think its a mixture really. Worse clubs have been bought and sold They suffer from being in the same city as us with regard to their investment issues, so there is an obvious solution.....
dorgie Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 If the price of wood ever rockets, then it'll be time to sell.
Rich Gobey Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 They've been going on for a while that we've stolen the liverbird when its actually the city's logo.Don't know if its down to that. 'stole' the name of the city too. tykes.

madaboutlfc Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Please tell me you're jokingwhatever he meant its hilarious..
Gomez Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) Please tell me you're joking I am aware that the yellow/green was their original newton heath colours. But the idea was that they were not the main man u colours and therefore people wearing them would stand out. Everton wearing blue and 'amber' (looks yellow to me) does not really have that effect. I was kind of joking with the away shirt. Again, I am aware they had one a few years ago, but if the club were concerned about the coverage the yellow and green protest was getting, then bringing back a popular away shirt' and drowning it out would have p*ssed on their chips no end.
