Anglo-Italian Cup Mark 2 but with no 'border security' checks, it will be a policemans dream, like having a dozen Scotland v England matches taking place across the UK on a single night.

 

Frankly there isnt a snowballs chance in hell of this coming to fruition and that is most definitely a good thing for all concerned, even the tosser who came up with such an idea, who must obviously have been bombed out of his brains when the idea came to him!

Exactly what I was thinking! It's just another desperate attempt by Scottish football to attach themselves to the English game.

I used to be all for this as a) it would breathe life into a once-great competition and b) it would have been quite a spectacle to watch.

 

But now... anything that keeps Rangers and especially Celtic away from English clubs is a good thing. Also, the competition is now long-dead with the big clubs seeing it as a nuisance & just for blooding kids. And the Scottish clubs wouldn't put up a challenge these days - if they got drawn any top-half Championship club they'd struggle.

 

I think all Premiership clubs should pull out and just leave it to the League.
