Wife of David, scorer of one of Anfield's most iconic goals, and mother of LFC TV presenter Sophie, Jan collapsed on Wednesday morning after suffering a brain aneurysm and sunk into a coma that she never recovered from. Jan was not only a beautiful woman, she was a great mother and supporter of Liverpool FC and the Club's TV channel, LFC TV, where her husband and daughter both work. Ian Ayre, Liverpool FC Managing Director, said: "Everyone at the Club who knew David and Jan are devastated by this news. David and Jan were inseparable and our thoughts tonight are with David and his children Sophie and Tom and their extended family."
