Help - buying B&W music photos online

Alright forum sages - what I thought was a simple project has turned out to be harder than I thought - I want to decorate a wall of my house with some black and white photos of some of my favourite female singers - folks like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Bettye Swann, Dinah Washington etc etc. I figured I'd go online and either buy some reasonably priced prints, or find a site with a bunch of hi-res images of musicians that I could download. But I'm having a hard time doing either of those things - sites selling prints are charging hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars, and I can't find many decent hi-res images to download, Billie Holiday is pretty easy to find, Nina Simone and the others are fecking hard. Can anyone suggest a good site for this sort of image or print? I don't mind spending some money, just wasn't planning on spending over a grand on this.
