5th is gone now, not enough games left to crawl back into contention.

We've not had a decent wide man for yonks now, I would like to give Sterling a go. Not every game, but give him a chance in some of them. Not arsed if we finish 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th now, it means nothing apart from prize money.

Let's give Sterling, Suso, Da Silva a little run out just to see how they cope/are. Nothing left to lose after all.

I agree - the season is dead rubber now - but I wouldn't be piling all the kids in - Luis and Andy need to build a partnership - Wilson and Kelly (when fit) should be played - Jonjo should be playing.

As you say - give what kids we have that can play left and right wings are shot now

Sterling's too young, we could ruin him by throwing him in too early, and as crazy as this sounds, he has exams to do.

Just give him 10 minutes. That woulnd't harm it at all.

Aren't Kelly and Shelvey out for the season?

Shelvey is close to return - think he's in full training again - Kelly did have a setback but should be back before end of season

Got to give young Robinson or Flanagan a game now. They're very young but he's at least they're specialist full backs.

This. It's not like we have much of a choice anyway is it considering our injury situation, but at least the young fullbacks are both highly rated rather than having to play them out of necessity alone. Get Wilson a few games too (in the centre preferably). Shelvey if fit too. Pacheco would have been nice, but at least he's getting some minutes at Norwich. As for Suso and Sterling i can't them getting any minutes. We won't go crazy, it may seem like the rest of the season means little or nothing but Dalglish will be out to win every game (and rightly so too).

Can you imagine the uproar from the likes of McCarthey, Bruce et al if we field a team of youngsters against their relegatioin rivals and happen to lose. Not that I would give a f*** but common sense goes out the window in these situations and what is good for us is not necessarily good for anyone else who may suffer as a result of our fielding a "weakened team"

They can f*** off. We've got our own problems.

Robinson and Flanagan have apparently not travelled for the Villa reserve game tonight.

Could just be that they're not needed for another reason.

It's a week till our next game, doubt its anything to do with that - although it could be that they want them to be part of every first team training session I suppose.

The U18's are also playing tonight so that's why they have not travelled.

Why?

I was being sarcastic

I'd much rather play the Under 10's than some of the dross we've got in our side

Jova hasn't played for ages though

Jova may be dross, but he is most definitely dross that is not in our side.

The only kid who has looked ready for first team has been kelly. that said, I can see one or two getting some minutes off the bench given there is literally nothing at stake for the rest of the season

I also hope Gerrard doesn't come back before next season, so that should free up space in the match day squad to find room for 1 or 2 of the more promising youngsters

He's the only one who's been given a decent go though, if a couple of others get a go, they might do well also
