Buying a used car

I bought a used car today. Ford Focus 1.6 zetec. Bought it from a local garage, I saw it in the same dealer in York so got it delivered up here.

The salesman was saying it would be in great condition. We test drove a similar car at the garage here and it was in mint condition. It looked brand new.

Today was the day for picking the car up, i had seen it once just the outside. The salesman said it is here ready and in mint condition.

On picking it up today it was dirty on the inside, not cleaned. Scratches all over, dints chips on the bonnet a chip in the windscreen. Tab burn in one seat rip in another.

I pointed the things out when I was there and he said well we will get them sorted on further inspection back home I found the rest.

The car cost £6.5k so its a lot of money to me.

I rang the garage and the salesman was giving it the its not my fault, I am really sorry etc.... Please let me sort it out.

I just said I want my car back, any one know legally where i stand on this?

I am f***ing foaming about this, I expected the car to be in good condition with obvoious wear and tear for 4 years use.

Going back in Monday to sort it, advice would be appreciated.....
