Candystore Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Apologies if posted elsewhere. Gerrard & Carra will be on Goals On Sunday at 11am tomorrow. Should be good viewing.
smithdown Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Holding hands probably like a pair of gay bummers
Jonesy Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 ha ha seems evey fecking England player bar plug got a call from Capello about the captaincy. Gerrard just said there that Capello rang him to tell what his plans were.
Benzo-13 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 (edited) Both come across really well. Edited March 27, 2011 by Benzo-13
Jonesy Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Loved that stat about the top 3 players (goals scored total) to have scored agaist Liverpool. 1. Andrew Cole 11 2. Thierry Henry 8 3 Jamie Carragher 7
Epic Swindle Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Lot better that I thought it would be. Kamara is a bit of a joke but they both handled him well.
Jonesy Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 ha ha sky sports news are already running the story about Gerrard saying he got a call from Capello. fecking hell
Billy Dane Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Thought they both sat firmly on the fence over Hodgson. The fans turned against him cos they wanted Kenny, the players didn't perform, Roy's a good guy etc.

CarraLegend Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 No point hammering him in public, not going to achieve anything is it? And certainly not when we play one of his teams next weekend.
mattster Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Thought they were both excellent, representing the club and the fans really well.
Swipe Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I can see that a current player can't really lay into Hodgson but I'd still love someone to say "he just wasn't good enough". There's no other excuse needed. Don't agree with Stevie's view that Robbie Keane may have done better with a different manager. Again, he was just rubbish. And he's been rubbish for three clubs since we sold him.
Candystore Posted March 27, 2011 Author Posted March 27, 2011 Is it repeated? Don't think so mate. I searched last time for Swipe when they mentioned his 'The Big Sam' Twitter - when Fat Sam was in the studio.

kop205 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 there are some clips here: http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,12606,00.html All that gives me is that fat c*** Martin Samuel talking about the English, and other assorted s****. Same as the Hodgson thing though - what do you expect him to say in public? Especially as Keane was actually on the phone at the time. Easy enough to bluff your way out of without mentioning the manager I would have thought. What exactly did Benitez do that caused Keane's his failure here - besides buying him, of course?
Swipe Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Same as the Hodgson thing though - what do you expect him to say in public? Especially as Keane was actually on the phone at the time. "it didn't work out" would be enough. Saying he might have under a different manager is baseless and in light of how Keane actually played, highly unlikely. The implication that he only failed cos Rafa was manager is nonesense. He was abysmal. Didnt know he was on phone though! Only read the bit on the offal. Not having a go at them tbh. Just really irks me to see this line that Hodgson had to go cos he didn't have the crowds backing and we all wanted Kenny. He wasn't wanted cos he's had an average career and his performances hear were shocking. If we'd replaced Rafa with a good manager there'd have been no calls for Kenny. But I realise nobody is going to give an honest assessment of RH in public. Especially as he's English with plenty of media mates.
