Just did the BBC's budget calculator. At the moment, we're the very definition of comfortable middle-class-ness, and if we stay on what we earn now, we're £178 better off. But in September, I start a GTP course and am taking >50% pay cut. Putting that into the calculator with a little bit more driving to work, and I'm £180 worse off.
