what stats is he using for more children being at football matches ? There were always loads of kids at the game.

I saw this as well. I can't believe more kids go now considering the prices. The chances of kids being able to go with groups of friends is pretty much non-existant.

Safe standing is pretty much what the Kop is on European nights. And that seems to work fine. Something similar could easily be maintained without maginalising particular groups of people.

hopefully a new ground or a redeveloped Anfield will allow the ticketing process to include people who want to bring kids/teenagers to the game without having to pay more than £10 for the privelge, standing or not.
