Gally Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Doesn't take a genius to recognise that we are a better team when Agger is fit to play but thought this was interesting... BuzzSports: #LFC have won the last 6 games in which Daniel Agger has played, and conceded none, they've only won one of the last six he's missed. #SFC
JonShar Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Stats above would suggest he's actually fit half the time.
Raj Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Stats above would suggest he's actually fit half the time. Good point
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Stats above would suggest he's actually fit half the time. only if you're a bit rubbish at comprehension.
JonShar Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 only if you're a bit rubbish at comprehension. "LFC have won the last 6 games in which Daniel Agger has played, and conceded none, they've only won one of the last six he's missed" 6+6 = 126/12 = 0.50.5 x 100 = 50% Innit?

Gilps Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 erm.... Not sure if you're messing or not. I don't think he is. It's a worry. I blame schools these days. Or the parents. Or perhaps it's the boogie.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) "LFC have won the last 6 games in which Daniel Agger has played, and conceded none, they've only won one of the last six he's missed" 6+6 = 126/12 = 0.50.5 x 100 = 50% Innit? Liverpool won the last game in which Daniel Agger played. They had mixed results in the last 19 he missed. So Agger is fit 1/20th of the time? Liverpool won the last 2 games in which Daniel Agger played. They had mixed results in the last 17 he missed. So he's fit 2/19th of the time? Edited March 21, 2011 by John
épieur Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Slow down folks. I want to see JonShar argue the point.

I want to see JonShar argue the point.Jon Shar is now frantically looking at his logic from every angle before posting again
Gerry Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Has anyone been keeping a list of these "2-1 is better than 0-0" mentalisms? If so this one has to be on it.
JonShar Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Slow down folks. I want to see JonShar argue the point. My webcam is turned off, sorry. Jon Shar is now frantically looking at his logic from every angle before posting again I was actually having a w***. Has anyone been keeping a list of these "2-1 is better than 0-0" mentalisms? If so this one has to be on it. Haha, feck off.
Farmer's Tan Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 i would imagine the main reason we do so well with agger is we keep possession more when he is playing.he doesn't make a last ditch tackle like carra does, very few do but i'd say at almost every other aspect of defending he is a far better option. The only area's he falls behind in are his reliability and commanding the back 4 which carra does excellently, also carras passion coming from being a scouser and playing for his home club would be a big plus.I would pick agger ahead of him all day long if he was fit.
surf Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 john's obviously correct, but i'm guessing it will take the rest of the forum a couple of pages to agree
Leo No.8 Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) Agger is a great footballer, our best centre half by some distance. He needs the right partner (aerially strong) and to stay fit - with those two things he'd be one of the best footballing centre backs around. The constant injuries are hugely frustrating though (as I'm sure they are for him). Think he has been oustanding when he's played under Kenny, and all things considered we might as well keep him and hope his fitness gets better. Just too good a player to let go. Redray Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Loads of tweets suggesting he left training for Denmark after 10 minutes due to injury/fighting.
Bogman Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Loads of tweets suggesting he left training for Denmark after 10 minutes due to injury/fighting. injury/fighting? what's that: "my injuries worse than your injury, there's a cut an everythin""not""is""isn't""is""mum"
Raj Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Maybe he got beaten up by the rest of the squad after he defended Poulsens footballing abilityI might have hit him too, if that was the case
épieur Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Agger has gone back to Liverpool early, instead of travelling to Slovenia for Denmark's upcoming friendly with the rest of the squad. According to Olsen, it is because Agger has returned a couple of times from international duty with injury, they'd like to spare him a bit and also help out Liverpool. Is this a first for an international coach?

Earl Hafler Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 So, in summary, 2-1 is better than half a Baros? For all Baros' running and winning throw ins, the best thing he ever did was to get out of the f***ing way.
_00_deathscar Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 For all Baros' running and winning throw ins, the best thing he ever did was to get out of the f***ing way. Quickly followed up with a nice back heel flick for the onrushing Gerrard, lest we forget.
