Liverpool Bars

Live away and haven't been out in town for years, back tonight and tomorrow night and planning a few beers. Going to trawl 'round a few pubs (I like a pint of bitter these days so decent real ale pubs will be what i'm looking for) then a couple of bars for drinks late into the night. I'm 39 years old so prefer my venues a little quieter than a few years ago. Recommendations for decent venues please.
