Rafa would be stupid to go to Madrid, he needs to re-build his reputation and go somewhere with a good long-term future for him.

he's bound to take the job if offered it i'd have thought. as anyone would. while, in a sense it's impossible to succeed at madrid, in another it's impossible to fail. huge resources, and you'd expect at least a decent run at the european cup. finishing 2nd in la liga is a failure, but it's also almost a formality. may be short term, but that might also suit.

i reckon he will end up at man city.

after the money the owners have put in to the team and the dogsh it football they play and lack of trophies i think mancini will get the bullet in the summer and rafa is ideal for them

Just saw that Stoke rumour on Twitter.

Surely not? Unless they're getting rich new owners.

Their current owner has approx £500m in the bank doing nothing. I think he owns bet365, so Stoke have no debt and have the money to spend. Problem is who wants to go and play for Stoke?

Footballers don't really care where they are as long as they are getting shedloads of cash.

Me too. They'll go for Mourinho first, but I reckon he will stay at RM for at least another season.

Citeh are so deluded (always have been) that they'll not want an Inter Milan 'failure'. They'll go for completely the wrong guy. As for Rafa... he'll end up at one of the unfashionable North West clubs so WIgan, Stoke, Blackburn. It'll be a waste of his abilities but he'll get them up to Top 8.

It's a shame in some ways, but he needs a team with resources and you can see them doing a Valencia. If he took over Man City or Arsenal, they would win the league. I would hope he doesn't because I don't want to go against him, however there aren't many longish projects in the other leagues. Unless he also speaks German?

What's Pulis done wrong?

Apparently the Stoke fans aren't happy with him (might have changed with them getting to the semi of the FA cup) as he said he would be changing the style of hoofball they have been playing and buying players to help achieve that and then not playing them. The fans have been getting fed up with it, and the board are also pissed off that the academy is going backwards as he won't bring players through.

Sounds like they want someone to come in and sort the academy out and change the culture at the club. Sounds like the type of project Rafa is looking for.
