Moving to the city

Just got accepted into Liverpool John Moores for next year and will (probably) be moving there - haven't decided which Uni i'm going to go to yet. Thing is my girlfriend will be working in Runcorn (teacher at St. Chad's) so we'd need to find a place that can be commutable for her, not be dead in the city (I don't like people/noise ha) but still close enough so that I can be close enough to uni etc.

 

Ideas? Anyone who has studied there? I'm doing History, if anyone knows anybody who's ever done it, know what it's like?

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
