Gravy Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Say what you like about Holloway, and plenty do (I really like him), but Blackpool are becoming one of of the only other teams I will turn the TV on to watch. I thought they were great again last night and really hope they stay up. It might be a crappy old town but boy have they got a footy team to be proud of. So much better to watch than a Stoke, Wigan, Bolton etc etc. All power to them.

Blackpool isn't a 'crappy old town' by any stretch, in fact those lovely big red brick semi's around Stanley Park are classic builds.

Would be interesting if Holloway actually had some real money behind him.
Minder78 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 He would be able to make even more out of the transfers then.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 There are more than 3 (realistic) teams I'd rather see relegated
Sion Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Blackpool isn't a 'crappy old town' by any stretch, in fact those lovely big red brick semi's around Stanley Park are classic builds. I went recently. I don't know if it's my childhood memories deceiving me or it's a recent development, but god is it rundown. Really not a very nice place. Seems to be stuck in time.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Had a mate do a photography degree there LSD + Blackpool illuminations =
DJS Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 (edited) Well i'll be happy to see the back of them if they go down. After all that tripe about us 'doing things in the press' (the audacity of Holloway actually going on tv having a go at us for doing things through the media - and missing the embarrassing irony of it), they can fecking well do one. Edited March 8, 2011 by DJS
Billy Dane Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 want them to stay up so we can batter them next year. As already said there are other teams I would rather see go down. Would like Wolves to stay up as well.

Nebraska Red Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 As much as they play some decent footy, they are a naive bunch when things go wrong. Once Chelsea scored it was game over , they let the Mancs off the hook and they'll go down if the ydon't sort out that defence.

Things went wrong pretty quick againts us and they didn't have too many problems. For a newly promoted side with the squad and the cost of it they have done exceptionally well. I hope they stay up and I think they will.
owenthomas Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 BlackburnWbaWigantalking to lads in work this morning and these were my three too.. Wigan cos of Dave Whelan and his manc a*** kissing.. WBA cos of Hodgson.. Blackburn cos they've got people come in thinking they know the business and are being found out and therefore deserve to go down to teach 'em a lesson! the only thing with that is there's a good lad started in our work from blackburn, he supports them, and therefore i feel slightly guilty about wnating them to go down now.. i may change this third choice as we enter the final stretch!..

They sell chicken and sacked big Sam. Awesome people.
Stanley Leisure Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Blackpool isn't a 'crappy old town' by any stretch, in fact those lovely big red brick semi's around Stanley Park are classic builds. On the way in it's quite nice. The closer to the front you get the more depressing it becomes. If you were happy living in a nice road in a town that made you want to kill yourself, then Blackpool's the place for you!
matty Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Blackpool isn't a 'crappy old town' by any stretch, in fact those lovely big red brick semi's around Stanley Park are classic builds.Tremendously depressing place to spend time. Trying to find decent food there is akin to climbing blindfold up Everest.

Nebraska Red Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 I hope they go down. Not only for beating us twice, but because I worked there for 4 years and hated every minute of it, miserable bunch of people , always pissed off because they work in service jobs.
johngibo YPC Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 I want them to stay up. So we get to play them away at a decent time this yearLike a Saturday in May
Sion Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Holloway is a proper Hodgson.Seems like a nice guy from afar. When you look closer you realise he's a weapon.
Billy Dane Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Want Blackburn to stay up, simply to shut up the media whores who are waiting to announce it wouldn't have happened under Big Sam, and that the new owners therefore need hanging. If Allardyce was still there I would want them to finish bottom. The owners sacked him cos his brand of football is s*** and they deserve support simply for that.
