Really awful - read the report on the BBC and wasn't aware he'd had to retire early because of dizzy spells, fainting etc. Was aware he seemed to stop playing early but think I just assumed he'd had a run of injuries or something, rather than it being illness. Presume it must be something brain / heart related to cause those types of symptoms.

 

It said he'd had a scan for a brain tumour but it had come back negative. Was a big, solid defender with a bit of pace for a big lad - so sad to see someone die this young RIP.

He did indeed. I was welling up. For his kids, no dissimilar ages to mine. They shouldn't have to deal with that sh*t at their age, god bless 'em.
