mortgage/ deed question

a straight forward one I am guessing

 

Do the names on the deed have to reflect the name on the mortgage application?

 

I am in the process of buying a house at the moment, the mortgage application is in my name but I'd like to put the deed in both mine and my wife's name

 

will the bank object to that?
