Slightly ambiguous story. Makes it sound like one member of FSG is after Roma, but at the same time makes it sound like FSG is?

One person or company can't own more than a nominal amount of shares in two clubs that are operating in UEFA competitions so he'd probably have to give up his stake in FSG if this went through. There's no way FSG themselves could be involved.
