WTF is going, cash turnstiles again tonight, huge blocks of seats empty. WTF is going on ?

 

And before you blame locals, only 500 tickets unsold for the game tonight. Around 4,000 just never bothered or because they were blocks empty, is it Thomas Cook ??

Anny Road are the Thomas Cook ones aren't they. i guess the club still get the money. It doesn't look good though

Next season people will be moaning its too hard to get tickets again (hopefully!!)

a lot of OOC'ers will not be coming over. i know a lot of lads in Ireland who just cant afford to anymore, and quite a large number of our fans come from abroad each game. also, the prices, it being just after christmas, people havent got the money to be shelling out 40 odd quid a game. sign of the times.

when I was in Ireland I came across for a few games - dont get much change out of £500 with flights (£100 each way) hotels (£80 x 2nights), beer* and tickets (£40).

 

* assuming you only have beer one night plus taxis and kebabs.

the club needs to get some seat fillers.

 

clubs do it all the time over here, they have people who will sit in an empty seat until the real ticket holder shows up and they go somewhere else.

 

the Red Sox do it all the time and so do the bigger NBA teams, they don't want people watching on TV to see an empty seat.

 

instead of "mind yer car", it will be "mind yer seat"

 

does the club have A and B pricing based on the caliber of the opposition?

Lot easier to get tickets now you can get spares from the L1 club shop so anyone who wants to go has no excuse.

I last got over when my mate lived in Liverpool. Then it was £ 50 return on the plane, free bed, beers and smoke for afters. Now it's similar to above and I bring the only wage in. Even with this cost I sell liked to come across but it required a lot of advanced booking. 2 months ago there was no way I was paying that sort of dosh to watch us with the lesbian in charge. So the ooters will come back, we just need more time to organise it
