This promises to be the biggest transfer window that we have ever had. I have every confidence that FSG are going to spend really big to launch us into serous title contention for 2011-2012. We may really have a great shot at it next year with ManU and Chelsea in decline, Arsenal still a bit unpredictible, and Spurs and Man City still not convincing.

I think we could easily see us splash 75 million and I am glad that we aren't just spending money on squad players, but rather on top line players. I could see us bringing in two centre backs, a left back, two wide players, at least one centre midfielder, a holding midfielder and another forward would be helpful.

We're going to have to bite the bullet and ditch some players. Get rid of all of those loan players and call it a day on Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Auerilio, Dirk, Jova, Ngog and Poulsen,

I'm hoping we sign some seriously world class talent. Players like Cahill, M'Vila, Defour, Hazard, Mertesacker, Taiwo, Martinez, Llorente, Ceontrao, Neymar, etc all need to be on our wish list.

Frankly, after yesterdays goings on I am more optimistic about the club than I can ever remember.

FFS Hiss I'm still getting over the last window.

Hahahahaha. Man up Kev! I can't keep up with you on the San Miguel, you can't keep up with me on transfers.

You're far less sad of course... :D

I agree with the window being massive.. and its clear our owners are the get up and get the f*** going type. Man U and Chelsea aren't in decline.. the chavs spent 75 million yesterday and there is plenty of the oil money from that rusky still available. Man U haven't played great and they are unbeaten and top of the league by 5 points.. there is money to spend aswel.

Man City and the Chavs still have bigger transfer budgets than us.

Spurs I honestly believe will lose their players and probably manager sooner rather than later.

I'd like to see Cahill and Young come in the summer..

If you throw Aquilani, Spearing, Konchesky, insua into the sales pot, there looks to be a good £40m incoming and some serious wage saving to be done.

£40m from them? You're kidding right

Aqua - £16m but no-one will pay more than £2m for Jay or PFK and Insua's out of contract this summer isn't he?

We need a world-class Centre Back..not Micah Richards (can't for the life of me think why we went in for him).

We need a world class left wing.

Transfer talk when the window has just shut makes Baby Jesus cry.

And if Juve only want to pay £10m for Aquilani they can f*cking shove it, he's probably worth double that in Italian football now he seems to be over his fitness issues.

You have to say the 4 most likely targets are Adam, Young, Richards and maybe Warnock.

And, if not, at least it's an indication of positions that Kenny & Comolli will be looking at.

i look at it like this, the money will come from the profit the club makes added to the selling of any players and maybe if the owners are needed to back up a big signing they will, but the money we are saving from when were were paying huge interest rates now goes on players,i cant remember exactly what that was but i think it was over 30mill,that's a top class player right there.

and maybe Warnock.

Can't see that myself. It was definitely a stop gap attempt to fill in PFK's place in the squad
