been going round for about a week now.. "kenwrights contacting his hollywood buddys to invest" .. "nevilles off to spurs" etc.. nar, don't reckon they're that close to the edge - probably one of these little rumours that go round here from time to time that spread like wildfire!.. still good it's on them though and not us (well, by 'us' i mean Steven Gerrard cos thats normally who's on the receiving end of this s***!)..

Latest rumour about Everton is what? Are my settings messed up or has Kev not actually mentioned what the latest rumour is?

Read on Twitter something about administration whispers. I presume it's that?

Talking to some blues this morning, they reckon neville has handed in a transfer request and been refused, they've shoved/are shoving players out on loan to save on wages, it's panic stations trying to raise funds apparently.

How much is James Vaughan on exactly?

The only thing sad about this potentially happening is that the people owed wouldn't get all their money.

If Everton went to the wall I would cry with joy, then cry with laughter, and then cry with joy again.

Sadly it won't happen. Unless the fan pressure gets to Kenwright and he spends beyond their means.

this is sad - really - historic clubs going under (if true)

financial cancer

though it is indeed endemic of a sad and cancerous trend in football, since it is Everton I'll forfeit my sadness in favour of glee and jubilation if it is true.

Sure we'll miss the rivalry for a year or so as they languish in some lower division. But it will be made up by knowing the basturds are f*cking relegated.

A year or two later they'll be back in the prem, but they will be terrible. None of the 'league position won't matter' nonsense can save them from the hidings they'll get when we meet.

PLTBT.

I think if you take out local rivalries, you take out a bit of what football is about. I wouldn't want Everton to go under, just be much more s*** than we are every year.

Arteta in the Indie today saying teams like Everton having a tough time against wealthier teams and he hopes it can be sorted out. Maybe they are closer to collapsing then people think.

It would take some of todays pain away if they could just vanish today!

Everything's fine now. F*ck me, the echo has gone bad.

PREMIERSHIP footballers are almost as scrutinised for their off-the-pitch style as their ball skills in today’s celebrity game.

But Jack Rodwell, one of Everton’s brightest young stars, insists he’s about as far away from the catwalk-loving big spenders as it’s possible to get.

In fact, the England under-21 player is far more at home in a T-shirt than wearing the latest designer collections.

“I do like fashion, but I’m not a religious follower of trends,” he says, “and I’m more likely to read football magazines than fashion ones. But fashion is like a religion in football, and you can feel like everyone’s got designer labels so you’ve got to do it too – it’s easy to get caught up in that.

“I do remember my first really expensive designer buy which was a Gucci leather jacket. I’d wanted it for ages and when I was buying it I couldn’t believe it, but afterwards it was worth it. It’s a special occasion thing, though, so I never really wear it – it comes out now and again but I couldn’t go out in it all the time in case anything happened to it!

“I really don’t mind whether something’s designer or high street, though, so I probably start off at the designer level and then just work down. I’m not snobbish about clothes at all, and really there aren’t that many designer places when I go shopping in Southport, so I’ll usually end up in the likes of Topman, which I really like, and River Island.”

Off duty the 19-year-old’s style is cool but casual, so Everton’s St Domingo range, with its dark fashion edge, suits him perfectly.

“I am definitely happier in T-shirt and jeans or shorts,” he adds. “But I don’t really go to events where it’s necessary to wear a suit, and if I don’t have to I would never choose to.”

Modelling the collection exclusively for Real, there’s no denying that Jack is almost as much of a natural in front of the camera as he is on the ball.

So is it something he’d like to do more of, like a certain Mr Beckham maybe?

“I am quite comfortable doing it, I really don’t mind, and if I got to David Beckham’s position obviously I’d be really happy.”

Even stripped down on a billboard? “Oh definitely,” he laughs, “if you’ve got it, you’ve got to flaunt it haven’t you!”

The St Domingo’s range is available now exclusively at Everton One, Everton Two and online at www.evertondirect.com.
