Dan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Assuming Kenny had one eye on this last night I'd play the following (assuming Cole and Babel are fit): ---------------------------Pepe Johnson-------Kelly-------------Agger------Aurelio --------------Lucas-------------Meireles Babel--------------Cole-------------------Maxi ---------------------Torres We need to tear into them from the off hence the dodgy right hand side defensively. We are s*** at the back regardless of who plays there so we may as well go at them with our best attacking options imo. Dirk needs a rest, I know he likes playing against these lot but I just think he's hit a brick wall lately. Would be a good option from the bench. Win this and we can build some momentum and hopefully the Kenny feel good factor is regained. I'm not even contemplating defeat.

NJust not sure if we're ready to cope with so many changes, i.e. Kelly at centre half for the first time alongside Agger. Kelly at right back suits me though. With GlenJo either right midfield or on the bench.
honourablegeorge Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I want Pacheco in the team feeding Torres. Yep, just the game for a young, softish youngster still feeling his was into the league.
D.Boon Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 This has to be the game for Maxi off the frontman. We have to get someone with some quality on the ball around Torres. Kuyt right and Babel left. Im all for giving Kuyt a rest but not in this game. Failing that Kuyt off Torres and Maxi right. Yep, just the game for a young, softish youngster still feeling his was into the league. Its a dreadful idea.
Falconhoof Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I'm on too big a downer about our midfield to think about this. I have Everton as firm favourites to win. Its not nice.
muleskinner Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I haven't been so despondent before a derby in years. Dreading it.
CarraLegend Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Pussys. Moyes doesnt even dare attack at Anfield anyway.
Gomez Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I haven't been so despondent before a derby in years. Dreading it. Really? Not even in October?
richwilks Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yep, just the game for a young, softish youngster still feeling his was into the league. The team is full of soft lads with no confidence and seemingly unable to lift themselves at the moment. Let's get someone in there with confidence and who'll give everything he can to impress.
Swipe Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Surely the occasion alone will get us up for this. First home game for Kenny. Against that lot. Massive. Rattle into them from minute one. Edited January 13, 2011 by Swipe
muleskinner Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Really? Not even in October? No, I was still foolishly thinking the players would rise above the managers tactics and get something out of it. Now they appear to be a bunch of fannies who will get t****** by a side who will be desperate for their first 6 point season against us in years.

Its gonna be awesome. We'll be up for it bigtime, they're garbage, not sure why theres any fear. We're garbage too but they have a massive, massive complex when it comes to playing us and a manager who doesnt dare attack at Anfield, hopefully that stays the same this weekend.
Epic Swindle Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yep, just the game for a young, softish youngster still feeling his was into the league. Can't be any more powder puff than Merieles. At least he's creative and will inject a bit of youthful enthusiasm. I'm dreading it to be honest, I think we're in free fall with a gutless fractured squad.

If he's injured he shouldn't be playing, if he isn't then he needs to sort his head out.
Cunny Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Is it true that Howard Webb is the ref for this?Someone at work reckons he is.If true, he's in for a warm welcome!

Beaten Man City and Spurs in their last 4, it won't be a huge shock if they add us to the list.
