floyd the barber Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Time for him to step up.. Hes been fairly average for me since hes joined...done ok but nothing spectacular or even very good..Maybe he gets away with it a little as he looks kinda cool and doesnt have poulsons awful hair..... regardless tonight i thought he was s****....his passing was awful, and worst of all for an apprent combative midfielder...he kept pulling out of tackles.. Time for him to show his worth..
RafaShanks Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Doesn't do anything well, which is not a very good sign.
Billy Talbot Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I think he's slightly injured. But that's no excuse really. If he carries on being a pussy he'll get a name for himself.
Red Kent Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He is a luxery player we cannot afford, he doesn't tackle, he can't shoot. He just prances around the field
Flasher Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He is a luxery player we cannot afford, he doesn't tackle, he can't shoot. He just prances around the field He's a what?
Shirohana Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He is a luxery player we cannot afford, he doesn't tackle, he can't shoot. He just prances around the field He can shoot. I've seen some wicked shots from him already.Maybe it's just cause he's getting moved around constantly and the fact that we've been playing with a disillusioned team since he came.
Elm0 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Oh for christ sakes. Have a good look at yourself, and give up these knee jerk reactions. If we had clung onto a draw, or even won, people would be out lauding the players. Meireles has a s*** game. Thats allowed. The whole team didnt play that well either it has to be noted. Lets have some perspecitve please.
Dan Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He is a luxery player we cannot afford, he doesn't tackle, he can't shoot. He just prances around the field Absolute bulls***. He was one of our most consistent performers before his ankle knock. Then he plays two games in four days one with 10 men coming back from an injury. He's the least of our worries.
lawrie Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He had a bad game, no need to go overboard - only a few weeks ago him and Lucas as a partnership were being lauded
Hassony Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I think Portuguese players usually take time to settle in England, he does need to start showing a bit more though players with lots of tattoos tend to be a lot softer than they actually look
Swipe Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He's good technically but has bottled out of a few tackles lately. I suspect he might work better with a proper aggressive partner. He seemed tougher at Porto though.
slapnuts Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I havent forgiven him for not going thru that curly manc c*** on Sunday! The puff.
RafaShanks Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 players with lots of tattoos tend to be a lot softer than they actually look Or we just end up signing all the pussys.
Epic Swindle Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Strolled round tonight like he was in training. You need drive and creativity in that position behind Torres.
Dan Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Strolled round tonight like he was in training. You need drive and creativity in that position behind Torres. He wasn't in Gerrard's position though was he.....or did you not watch it?

Name a Portuguese hard bastad ?
MFletcher Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Being moved around the team all season hasn't helped. I don't consider Meireles a problem - he deserves his place in the team based on this season's performances.

Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He was a problem tonight and one of the biggest in my opinion. Given his performance, he was in no-mans-land. He didnt support Torres, nor did he play any incisive balls from that position and when he dropped back further, he lost the ball. I have liked what I have seen from him to date but recently, his standards have dropped and the position he was asked to play tonight ended up doing us damage in the end
muleskinner Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 He managed to be worse than he was on Sunday, couldn't pass water, doesn't tackle, doesn't score. Needs to step his game up big time starting on Sunday but I think Fellaini will eat him up.
D.Boon Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Im hoping its just a blip but he has been rubbish the last couple of games.
Beardsley Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Portuguese football is for girls though, they spend more time preening and pruning themselves and then throwing themselves on the floor at the slightest touch. Name a Portuguese hard bastad ? Carvallo. He's a b*****d all right.
