I found out from Fighting Talk. I must have tuned in a couple of minutes after they broke away. They then mentioned Hodgson in the past tense a couple of times and I thought "hmmm, nah, they're just saying he is a goner" but eventually checked Sky News and whooped with delight when I saw the little yellow "Breaking News" band scrolling across the screen.

Came in to make brekkie. Thought I'd fire up the laptop to play some music through it. As I do every time I'm near a computer recently, logged onto the forum for Roy news, even though I knew in my heart of hearts that there'd be none. Saw Kev's thread and had a million thoughts. I didn't know if it was a rumour he'd heard, or if it was as good as done, or if it had been done. Read a few replies and had to go to the bbc site.

 

Then I ran to the bedroom and told the missus, then I did a dance around the room, then I smiled
