Epic Swindle Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Is it possible or just my imagination just running wild?
Billy Dane Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Hodgson guaranteed we wouldn't be relegated last month.
Ed the Wool Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 If they stick the Hodgson, it's definitely possible.
anfield11 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 If Mr. Mental ****** is still here at the end of January, we will be in the bottom three.
Jim D Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 It's definitely on.........the season is currently worse than the 1953/54 campaign and we were relegated that season.
smithdown Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 It's well on. We've got worse results to come yet. We're a team that looks like it could well get thrashed.
Epic Swindle Posted December 30, 2010 Author Posted December 30, 2010 Rationally you look at the quality in the side and think we'll be fine but there's that little b*****d thought nagging me.
MFletcher Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I just can't see us being relegated. Then again, f*** knows what damage he's going to do if he's given the January window.
_00_deathscar Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 It's well on. We've got worse results to come yet. We're a team that looks like it could well get thrashed. Yep - I'm just waiting for someone to absolutely tonk us 4 or 5-0.
Stevie H Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 if we're within half a dozen points of the bottom three by mid-february it's not out of the f***ing question. we don't have the players or the manager for a scrap whereas other clubs are set up expecting to be in a survival scrap at the back end of the season. we need an immediate short-term boost to lift us away from the threat of this and it's got to be kenny.
smithdown Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Seven wins out of nine is looking as ridiculous as he said it was. I'm worried about when two wins out of nine does too. Nearly there aren't we?
muleskinner Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Without being too melodramatic, I can't see where the next win comes from. January is bad enough without suffering this s**** as well.
Red Kent Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 We are down if he stays. That is a given. As said before we dont have the leadership or the guts for a battle. Hodgson inherited a few issues but 7 of the team last night helped beat Madrid 4-0 two years ago. Rafas problems my a***.
Swagger Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 if we're within half a dozen points of the bottom three by mid-february it's not out of the f***ing question. we don't have the players or the manager for a scrap whereas other clubs are set up expecting to be in a survival scrap at the back end of the season. This. Leeds and Newcastle did not think they will relegated.
Ombudsam Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 We won't get relegated. There's teams like Wigan and Wolves kicking about...
kop205 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 we don't have the players or the manager for a scrap whereas other clubs are set up expecting to be in a survival scrap at the back end of the season. That is the single biggest worry isn't it? Wolves were first to every ball last night.
Andy-oh-six Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 'Too good to go down' doesn't even describe us at the moment. We are in relegation contention.
slapnuts Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 We won't get relegated. There's teams like Wigan and Wolves kicking about... Wolves
Couldbe Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Looking at our games coming up, playing like we are , when we play Wolves again on 3 weeks it will be a relegation 6 pointer. Plus United will tonk us in the cup. If he is still in charge come that Wolves return game and we lose it, which we will, then we are going down, no two ways about it. NESV can then thank Purslow and Hodgson for destroying their £238Million investment.
Lee W Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 We won't get relegated. There's teams like Wigan and Wolves kicking about... And both of them have outplayed us this season.
Stevie H Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 That is the single biggest worry isn't it? Wolves were first to every ball last night.it's a mentality thing - we've got the greek who could be described as a 'scrapper', i wouldn't really say we've many others used to dogging seasons out and salvaging something at the death etc. perhaps that's roy's grand plan after all - get us into a relegation battle and then save the day with a few last minute steals like he did with fulham two seasons ago, he emerges the salvaging if not conquering hero.
Ombudsam Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Wolves And both of them have outplayed us this season.
Epic Swindle Posted December 30, 2010 Author Posted December 30, 2010 (edited) Looking at the way the table is shaping up it's going to be more than 40 points this season. Sad that's it come to this but we're going to need around 6 wins minimum from the remaining 20 games. Edited December 30, 2010 by Epic Swindle
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 If we can be beaten by Blackpool and Wolves at home, have a negative goal difference and only be a few pts off bottom at the turn of the year with some disallusioned players and fans then yes - we could hover around the drop zone for the foreseeable future.
