Seriously and I'm sure the old cats on this forum will agree...has any Liverpool manager been hated as much as hodgson,or should I say that maybe hated is too strong, but ever had such a lack of confidence in a man...

Even souness for all his faults (and yes there was a major one) I still had that slight bit of confidence he would succeed I still wanted him to do well,he did have the past glories with us with being such a fantastic player....but hodgson is a complete clown and very likely our first manager in forever to not win a trophy...

Seriously is there anyone out there who actually thinks hodgson IS the man???? Please explain, please give your reasons......

I think we as fan's have to accept that he won't get sacked til the summer atleast. The man survived taking us into the relegation zone with 1 win in 8 at the start of the season, It's gonna be a copy of last season great at home, a team of cowards away. Its totally unacceptable but no one in the media will call him out over it and we'll just stumble around the 7th-12th position in the table all season.

I also feel whatever happens with Woy we have alot of mentally weak bunch of cowards that make up our squad and alot of them should be shown the door in the summer.

The opposite to apathy. You should try it some time.

Oh, I do, sonny. That's why I don't spend too much time making posts like yours on here. What exactly is the 'active' result of your idiotic 'look at me' chest-beating meant to achieve, apart from stroking your risibly deluded sense of amour propre?

That's so ironic, it's amazing. 'Sonny'.

We don't have to accept anything. If we as a fanbase have the balls to come together and vote with our pound, any owners will know to tow the line.

He's not up to the job, we all know that, but of all the Liverpool managers we have ever had, I think he's the only one who doesn't care when we lose. He just accepts it, shakes hands and toddles off. That's what gets me most of all.

He is used to loosing, and getting the odd win here and there - probably a bit more with us as the team is a little bit better than what he is used to.

The problem we have at the moment is that we have owners who do not know anything about football (check John Henry's profile on twitter) and no CEO.

Another season is over before Christmas -again. We can only have hope for the next one. The rot started along time ago and it will take the new owners a long time to bring back the glory days, if they can. They are on a steep learning curve in a foreign country and a foreign game.

It's a global game why oh why could not one of the best supported teams in the world find buyers who actually have watched, played, supported the game????

Was this poll really necessary? I think it's pretty obvious that almost nobody believes in the current manager. The more pertinent question is: are people so set against him that there is nothing that can change their minds? If the answer is 'yes' (which in most cases seems to be the case) then Hodgson shouldn't even be given another day in charge as it would simply be a waste of time. If you don't have the fans then you have nothing and for many reasons (some which have nothing to do with the man himself) he doesn't and won't ever have the fans on side.

I was really hoping he would be out of the club before the transfer window, before he can do serious, and in the case of player sales irrepairable, damage. The last thing we need is the club wasting money on players of the calibre and ambition of Poulson and Konchesky. Furthermore, regardless of the talent of the player the style is also crucial. If we sign a defensive full-back who's main game is long balls, then sack the manager and replace him with someone who's system uses attacking full-backs who are good at possession play, then you are back to square one and have to spend the tiem and money all over again. Until we have a long-term manager in place with a long-term vision and ethos fans can get behind then we might aswell not spend big as it will just be a waste.

This again brings me back to the old Rafa debate (sorry), but only in the case of proving my point. Rafa had built a team of players who (apart from those who'd been at the club before he arrived) he had bought to fit into a system. A number of them aren't of a particularly high standard, due to the extremely tight financial situation we were in, but because they were bought with a system in mind he often got the best out of them. Now with Hodgson we have completely changed the system and the lack of highest-quality players is apparent. Many players are being shown to be extremely average as a result.

This is infact something to which i would excuse Hodgson. It isn't his fault the players we have don't fit into his style of setting up a team, he mostly hasn't had a chance to build the squad. However, back to my original point, if the fans don't believe in him or want him here then there is absolutely no point in giving him the time to change that squad as all it will do is set us back even further as a team. If he is still in charge in January, which seems as it will be the case, then i just hope Comolli sees this and has enough control over transfers to buy players who can adapt to different tactics, as they are inevitably going to be needed at some point in the near future.

Sorry but am I really being over the top????I do hate him,I hate that he is turning us into a midtable side. I hate that whenever he speaks it's the words of a vile weak man who hasn't a clue of the importance and stature of the club he is manager of.

I hate that we have a manager who has never won a major trophy...and he's been a manager for a long, long time . I hate itthat the press seem to love him and there is no witchhunt to force him out. I hate the stupid expressions he pulls during games....

I hate the fact that there were so many better candidates available and we got stuck with him....

He needs to be gone and quick ,I don't think I can wait till the summer

If Hodgson ever comes out and blames the jews for our league position I am going to bump this thread like no thread has ever been bumped before.
