Buzz Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I've always liked him and wished him to do well, he has been much better this season and he gave his first interview for the English press in the Independant today. I never knew he ws such a coverted French player and comes across as a nice shy lad who is very private and with his feet firmly on the ground.Indi InterviewSorry if Romario, had a quick search first a couldn't find anything.
kop205 Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Another one, like Lucas, too quickly written off and unfairly derided by some. He has something to offer. Whether that is enough, long term, for him to be a player of the level we really need, remians to be seen. I think we'd all be surprised if he becomes truly top class, but at this point in time he is useful for us and can look back on his last 18 months with some satisfaction at his contribution and, just as importantly, his progress.
Conor Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being top class.. Not in the slightest. He and Andy Carroll are the top young strikers in the league.
Big Red Machine Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 If Ferguson or Wenger had bought him he'd be getting hyped up as one of the best prospects in the league.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 He cost bobbins & pitches in with goals. Compare that with some of the gash the alky scot has got - Macheda, looks ok, Obertan, Bebe etc. He was never going to be Torres mkII, but he doesn't have the ego of many less talented players. Value for money he is

Hassony Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 I always believed in him, ever since his first goal away to PSV
Lanus Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 N'Gog needs to improve his heading but positionally the man is getting much much better. He's good with the ball at his feet, he's quick and he scores goals. Also, when he plays, torres plays better cause he he opens up space for him.
johngibo YPC Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Good article once the fella shut up about ShampooInteresting thoughts from the French U21 managerOn a general point, it makes me laugh when people are suprised when young players get better
Lanus Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Well I've always wanted N Gog to get better myself (not just cause Im a Liverpool fan) but because he's one of the players i've always said will have a future ahead of him (and behind him if he invents a time machine.)

Maldini Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 If he was playing for a smaller club and scoring the amount of goals he does in so few games people on here would be clamouring to sign him. I really don't understand the hatred for him, are there any other second/third choice forwards in the league with a better record than him in the last two years?

Ombudsam Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 He's genuinely worked hard to improve which is great credit to him. I don't want that to sound like damning with faint praise. I think he's a useful member of the squad now

scoose Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 He is improving but sometimes when I've been at the game I've watched when the oppo have the ball and he can be lazy when closing defenders down. Jogs a lot sometimes when needs to move faster.
