He'll be gone before Feb I reckon. He's had a shocker at Inter. The one club that were guaranteed to win their national title year after year (even bloody Mancini managed it) yet Rafa's Inter are way off the pace. The injuries excuse won't cut it either, that excuse never saved a manager from the sack. He'll be back in Spain before the summer I reckon.

Will that make you happy?

No it won't. I'd rather he not be seen as a failure compared with Mourinho, which is the current perception towards Rafa.

it will make a few of our fans happy it seems, as if Rafa failing with Inter justifies in anyway him getting the sack in the summer

really weird

Sky are already gloating about their form and licking their lips at the prospect of him being sacked.

All cos they simply don't like him. Sad.

No it won't.

You sure? I've read a number of your posts which are highly critical of him. Unfairly so, imo

Either way, I hope he does well for Inter. Don't understand any Liverpool supporter who wouldn't wish him well after his achievements here.

They're a bunch of c****. Particularly Keys and Gray. They asked Gullit his opinion about Inter and what had gone wrong there. His anaylsis was superficial at best and said nothing of note.

I hope he has success and manages to turn it around.

The key will be the WCC. If they win, he will be given more time to turn it around, if not, he wont be there by Xmas.

It was always going to be a difficult job at Inter this year. No way to improve on last year's success. Add in an aging squad, no new purchases and a variety of people praying for him to fail....

I hope he is given the time to turn it round.

Wilkins was actually fair about him, Keyes didn't like it when Wilkins said that the players were still playing for the manager

Indeed, I thought Wilkins conducted himself very well, both on the Rafa and the Chelsea issues.

Keys was a complete f***nut for banging on about the Barca penalty incidents. Wilkins was definitely getting pissed off with him there

You can imagine the LMA Christmas Newsletter;

Merry Christmas to our successful members - Sir Alex, "Moyses", "Big Sam" and espcially Roy up at Liverpool. This appointment was the highlight of our year given how we identified his ability by awarding him our LMA 'Manager of the Year' award - maybe a small pat on the back to ourselves there also!

It's always good at this time to think of those a little less fortunate than ourselves and I include Chris (recently replaced at Newcastle) and good footballing people like Alan Curbishley and Bryan Robson amongst others. Fingers crossed though lads, might be an opening for one of you soon at Wigan and West Ham (wink, wink!).

Staying on that note of replacing failing overseas managers with our guys, just a few thoughts on the performances of Benitez since taking over at Inter...maybe 'Big Sam' was the man they needed after all, eh?

Best wishes and a festive 3 points to all!

as yes that old chestnut...the LMA doesnt like foreign managers except the ones that are members obviously....

Poor Benitez, if it wasnt for everyone else he'dve won everything.

it's as if this forum's slightly biased in favour of people who've achieved great things at Liverpool. mental.

or conversely this forum's slightly ridiculous habit of trying to blame anyone else except him for his consequent failings after he achieved his one great thing.

He was shown a surprising lack of respect by their members. He's gone and they still gone on about stuff

err, the executive is pretty much an exclusively British closed shop, they occasionally have a token foreigner on the non-executive list as Capello is now.

The current executive is;

Howard Wilkinson - Chairman

Frank Clark - Vice Chairman

Richard Bevan

Olaf Dixon

Sam Allardyce

Dave Bassett

Alan Curbishley

Sir Alex Ferguson

Brian Flynn

David Moyes

David Pleat

Lawrie Sanchez

Aye, there's no parochial, old school bias there, no sirree.

was he a member of the LMA? The impression I got from on here was he never joined.

whats the percentage of foreign managers in the whole of the leagues anyway? Though Im surprised Wenger isnt a member of the executive considering the length of time hes been around now, though maybe He's been asked and turned it down, you can tell me that as you obviously know the workings of it alot better than I do.

The LMA is an hilarious organisation. Take away Lord Ferguson and look at the ream of s*** nobodies that make up its numbers.

and why would you bother trying to correct our slightly ridiculous habits? you'll find different persepectives on other forums no doubt. you know, ones that aren't specifically for Liverpool supporters.

Rafa will get sacked. Don't see how much longer he can hang on. Inter have had terrible luck with injuries, but more than that I think that Rafa's trying to alter Inter's approach so drastically (probably in part due to the ongoing ego-duel with Mourinho) has massively unbalanced them. Shame really.

I dont think taking that job was the best decision Benitez ever made. He was always on a hiding to nothing.

indeed. he probably should have taken a year off and refreshed. but now he has a situation potentially were he has had two ridiculously bad seasons that will make it difficult for him to get employed at a top side any time soon

In a world where Alan Pardew is getting a Premiership seat, Rafa will walk into another if he gets sacked.
