Eiler99 Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 Newcastle United Football Club have today parted company with manager Chris Hughton. Goalkeeping coach Paul Barron also leaves the club today. The board would like to place on record their thanks to Chris for his considerable efforts during the club's transition from Championship to Premier League football. Chris has shown exceptional character and commitment since being appointed manager in October 2009. The club wishes him well for the future. Regrettably the board now feels that an individual with more managerial experience is needed to take the club forward. The task of appointing a new manager now begins. An announcement will be made shortly regarding transitional arrangements pending the appointment of a successor.
gulaman Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 They just couldn't wait to sack him. They've been waiting for any slip up as an excuse to get rid off him. What a joke club.
johngibo YPC Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 MentalAlthough an annoying amount of ambition from a smaller club above us as wellIf they get a top manager i'll fume. Luckily its Newcastle and they'll do something daft

Superjay Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Martin O'Neill. Has to be. The geeeeerdies will love him bouncing all over the sideline. Although if they get Rijjkaard... I'll explode. Edited December 6, 2010 by Superjay
Gerry Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Regrettably the board now feels that an individual with more managerial experience is needed to take the club forward. Please let this be Roy Hodgson.

Bailo Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Weird. Then you realise it's Newcastle and it becomes understandable.
Tones Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Weird. thought he had done a really good job there. Hope they get relegated now.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 "Regrettably the board now feels that an individual with more managerial experience is needed to take the club forward." can anyone think of a manager with 35 years' experience that they could have?
johngibo YPC Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Feels like a good time to play Newcastle next week
Epic Swindle Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Disgraceful that. He's a good modern thinking young coach. Joke of a club.
Stevie H Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 the last time they appointed a manager with experience they got joe f***ing kinnear.
Bailo Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Can anyone think of a joke about Hodgson already made 35 times on this board? the last time they appointed a manager with experience they got joe f***ing kinnear.Wasn't that how he introduced himself in the press conference as well?
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I think they should give the job to Roy Hodgson LOLZ
Swipe Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Joke of a decision. What the f*** are their expectations exactly? Also, said it in another thread - it just brings home the easy ride our Roy is getting. We play them on Saturday too. Hate playing teams who've just sacked managers. They always seem to pull something out of the bag. Curbishley is the front-runner to replace him apparently. How do these plums keep getting cushy jobs??
Bailo Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I think they should give the job to Roy Hodgson LOLZROFLCOPTER!
