I actually think he's pretty good. I like him.

 

I was excited until I realised that he doesn't just look fat on the telly, he really is, and he's really slow.

 

He doesn't deserve to be in the team ahead of Maxi.

Who could have predicted these injuries! Agree with Jarq he is second choice to Maxi unless he is going to play right side.

he had a good game though, apart from the miss

 

he's been very good in the last few games, at the moment Joe cole, when he is fit, shouldn't be in the first XI

How did anyone who has watched football for the last 6+ years expect anything form him? He's injury prone, slow, never really held down a proper starting role under a number of managers and was allowed to leave on a free....His exaggerated step over looks more of a mishap everytime he tries it. Shocking signing. Such a waste of money.

he had a good game though, apart from the miss

 

he's been very good in the last few games, at the moment Joe cole, when he is fit, shouldn't be in the first XI

the nearer maxi is to torres and the more they are able to link up the more dangerous we look in the final third this season. next time maxi doesn't have one touch and shoot though someone wants to slap him.

Compunded by the fact that the pre match Redknapp interview at the weekend in the Independant said how gutted he was at missing out on Joe COle and had to settle for Van Der Vaart instead.... :unsure::angry::(

a dozen games in, a harsh sending off and an injury and 'fans' are on his back :woohoo:

Not on his back, just don't see him as a good player and given both the limited reesources we had (have?), our lack of anything approaching pace, his age, his injury record, didn't want him and have not moved from that line. I'm happy to be proven wrong and he'll get my support at the games.

 

On a different note, he still lives near Esher (see him on the train alot after the games), he's played in London all of his life, I'm wondering how long he'll be with us before he is back in the capital.

considering the limited resources we had - Joe Cole on a free is a good signing. Not been the best of starts, he was unlucky v Arsenal which robbed him of 3 further matches. Still think he'll come good.
