Anyone ever been abroad for dental surgery

Well as my crown which cost 400£ last year is now useless due to a root fracture, the dentist has said either i can have a s***ty bridge or an implant which will cost up to 2K however I googled prices for implants and almost every link seems to point to going abroad so wondering if anyone has done this or has any particular thoughts on it!
