As your signature says, it isn't answers that drive knowledge further. It's the questions.

So would you rather have Jay Spearing in the team than Steven Gerrard?

 

To be fair they'd both be pretty s**** for the next few games.

ah nightmare for the lad. Don't think he is anywhere near good enough for us in the long term but even still.

true. But ironically - as we've seen with Rooney - a broken ankle is often an easier fix than a sprained one.

I'd rather have Gerrard than Spearing - I like him, but he's not the answer.

 

I'd rather have Gerrard without a gob, playing for the team, not moaning, shouting, sulking or carrying on. Just doing a captains job for the club and helping everyone else raise their game.

 

If Gerrard did that every game (As I believe he should as club captain) Then I'd want him in every single game we ever played.

Spearing really isn't good enough anyway and Shelvey should be getting opportunities above him.

 

That said it's bad news for the lad. Could be a blessing in disguise.

He's done that this season to be fair

He should do it every single game. Week in. Week out. He's club captain.

 

Look at the previous captains the club has had. Would they throw moods/sulks/Flounce around/Moaning at others for their own mistakes?

He's been on about proving himself in the absense of Gerrard as well
