surround sound

Finally bought a new tv last night. 40" LCD.

 

Anyway i have set it up and i knew i would need surround sound but i didnt realise just how much. I am pretty skint now so anyone know of good deals knocking about?

 

Can you buy any or does it have to be compatable etc...?
