The Dalglish chants next Saturday - we need them to be louder than ever

John Henry has promised that, unlike his predecessors, NESV will listen to the fans, and take our opinions on board.

 

Next Saturday, irrespective of the result and performance, chants of "DALGLISH, DALGLISH, DALGLISH" should be heard to resonate deafeningly from the four corners of Anfield.

 

I think more than 95% of LFC fans are in agreement that Hodgson needs to be removed with immediate effect.

 

I can understand the reservations of those who make the argument that Kenny has not managed at the top level for many years, and that "you should never go back" a la Kevin Keegan etc etc.

 

BUT, I would argue the following points ;

 

1. It simply cannot get any worse under Hodgson, so in my opinion, there is nothing to lose by dismissing him.

 

2. If Hodgson remains in charge, even until February, the damage could be irreparable, with the likes of Torres, and Reina quite possibly departing.

 

3. There is a severe shortage of top quality managers available who would consider taking the position mid season. Frank Rijkaard apart, I cannot think of one other candidate who might be potientially available or approachable.

 

4. Kenny wants the job, there is no doubting that. He has done it all as a player and a manager, and would command the ultimate respect of players and fans alike, uniting the club.

 

5. Kenny's determination to succeed in the job, and prove a point, could quite conceivably lead to his turning the club's fortunes around, and if he manages that, then he knows that the job is his to lose.

 

Loud and clear next Saturday ; "DALGLISH, DALGLISH, DALGLISH"

the problem with shouting for dalglish:

 

1. Easy to say the fans love him

2. not everyone agrees he is the best thing in the manager chair

3. Does not show our hatred for Roy.

 

to be honest the only way to ask NESV to see what we see and get rid of roy.

dont want the King near this clusterf***, dont want him dealing with the bombsplat that is player power in our squad, dont want him near the egos and the attitudes that currently masquerade as LFC players, dont want him near this at all, not because of his managing abilities, but because a legend does not deserve to be in the middle of this f***wad of a mess, sort the players/egos/attitudes out, then bring back the king

if there is one man who will do that it will be Dalglish. i think you are doing him a great disservice if you think he wont be able to sort out those with the big ego. he will command instant respect, he will take no s*** from any of themn either, and if they arent behind them, he wont hesitate in bombing them out, no matter who they are

I remember reading something in Fowler's book that when players argued with him, he'd say "Put your medals on the table and let's count them".

I want Frank Rijkard, and I want him now. It sends out a message that we're still a big club. Love Kenny, still think he could cut it, and if Frank's not available, then fine, but for now I want the Dutch master.

 

This stupid season is still salvageable. Henry and Comolli have to act now. Unlike the majority, I don't think RH is the world's worst manager, but just right now he is the wrong man, at the wrong place , at the wrong time, and it in light of the increasing leaks about Johnson, this all smells badly of a seriously disgruntled dressing room. We know what happens when players stop believing in the main man. The change last season was a result of that, and so it must be now.

I hear some people saying Carra would be a good potential manager in the future. We ARE becoming like Newcastle, seeking out a messiah to save us! Kenny would be perfect as a temporary manager, but is not a long-term solution.

We don't need a long term solution, we need a short term one, a replacement for Hodgson, this is not a 3 year plan it's a 3 week plan, get rid of him, get somebody in who can galvanise the players, throw the net over Europes finest and see if any of them will give us the time of day.

 

This season is dreadful, 2pts a game would see us top, our 08/09 form would see us 7pts clear of Chelsea at the top. If we get Torres and Gerrard firing under a new man CL is a possibility, hell at this rate the title could be a distant possibility. It's an international week, great time for a sacking, come on NESV.

. Have to say I agree also don't thing The Hodge is the worst manager about but just the wrong club at the wrong time... We are bigger than fulham we are LFC for godsake!

at some point you have to look at the players and start to get ones in that do their job and don't just down tools if they don't agree with their boss.

 

Obviously I totally agree with the ones that are doing it now...

West Ham is a lovely 'ease in at home, crowd right behind you, tear into them for 90 mins' game for the new man. That then gets everyone fired up for a tricky away, win that and we can start to build some momentum and City, United and Arsenal start looking over their shoulders.
