Indeed, nothing to worry about, he's perfectly happy. So is Torres.

If they want to leave, it's not going to be in The Mirror without quotes or any facts whatsoever

They know the manager is s****.

We all do.

It's a joke on us his employment here.

We fight off the leeches and we're stuck with the unflushable turd.

Couldn't make it up.

Agreed, everything is fine, nothing to see here. He's already expressed his delight at the new dinosaur methods he's getting to use in training, I think he's happier than ever.

My point is not that Pepe is happy or that he is not considering his future, what I am pointing out is that sites and papers can create stories which seem somewhat feasible given the circumstances (s*** manager, and on the back of a poor draw), without quotes or any new information to back it up, and people will believe/worry about it.

Its just poor journalism and even if he does leave in January, they are guessing with this article.

Thats how I read it.

Can i have some of what youre on?

I know your jesting, but anything to help me deal with the incompetent idiot that is Roy, he is slowly but surely killing our club.

As others have said, we fight for years to get rid of the two cancers and now we have Roy, what the hell have we done to deserve that?

The manager is a problem, but it's also the 95 year-old goalkeeping coach who keeps on falling asleep every five minutes.

I think the first team and the keepers do the same training routine everyday.

Batters morale and is probably a reason that Hodgson don't last pissin time at all his clubs. The Blackburn lads just gave up on him cos of that.

Arsenal definitely bid for him last season.

But i think if we had a different manager he'd be happy to stay, hes always struck me as the ultimate team man and the ultimate professional so if he does want to go things must be pretty bad. Still pretty confident he'll outlast Roy though. If a few more of our better players start making noises that their unhappy and the results and performances continue to be hit and miss im sure Roys position will be questioned.

It's just a rehash of the other day. Perhaps he's been offered a big wage hike by arsenal, despite saying all the right things about the club and the city he won't be any different to most other players when there is a bigger offer in the table. I think he will stay and maybe get improved terms if he sees some progress re the squad and management.

I know the Mirror are usually full of s***, but all this talk recently re Pepe is making me uneasy.

No player is bigger than the club, but the day Pepe leaves because of lack of ambition will be a sad day in the history of this club.

I am really disappointed with the match day fans. When the yanks were destroying our club we protested and played a big part in changing things.now, because of a couple of wins, we have accepted Roy. I don't understand it.

The time to protest is when we are winning to show we are not reactive. We need to make the final push. No manager at all would be better than Roy.

i'm a bit uneasy about this too. under normal circumstances no player should be bigger than the club. if someone doesn't want to play for us we should get rid for as much money as possible.

However when the player in question is one of our few world class players, signed a long term deal last year and is recognised as being a great team bloke with huge affinity for the club you need to ask what changed his view?

they mentioned in the paper review on sky sports this morning about this but just but without going into the whys. The mirror says bringing in highly rated young keeper is in line with NESV policy but surely keeping a world class keeper with maybe ten years ahead of him at the top level is a no brainer? Does he think NESV won't invest enough? Doesn't rate the manager/coaching/tactics? Feels under appreciated/isolated, head turned by hige offer from elsewhere??

The other worry is if Pepe goes then is not a huge step for Torres to go too.

Could just be newspaper scaremongering - they've been trying to sell our better players for years? but if there is a shred of truth in the disallusionment of our top players then the new owners need to understand why and whether it is fixable.

Has Reina actually said anything ?

I think he's being unsettled, or rather the subject of an unsettling campaign from other clubs. He's EXACTLY what Arsenal and United need.

The fix is staring them in the face.

Even if he wants to leave he should be told in no uncertain terms he won't be allowed to.

If he actually has a £20m clause it'll be in the top 5 most stupid pieces of business the previous regime did. And by regime I mean Purslow.

Just think of the dogs*** GK's that have cost £9-12m. We should be looking for a fee rivalling that of Buffon's.

I wonder if this is Pepe as one of the senior players trying to use his influence and popularity to leverage Hodgson out of the door.
