what is our problem with the full backs and wings?

It seems like we`v ehad problems there forever...

 

the amount of s**** full backs we`ve had at the club is shocking..

and maybe at a push..riise did an ok job for a couple of seasons...

Its pretty shocking the amount of dire we have seen at the club with maybe some deserviing of the chance, see....kewell,smicer,babel,johnson but honestly not really being up to it..

 

And im sure ive missed a few!

 

The point of the thread really is Houllier tried, then Rafa and now Roy...but all cant seem to find the right players for full backs and the wings (we shall give hodge a chance....although juding by konchesky... he will follow the same patten as before)

 

why is this such a problem for us?

 

It never seemed to be this hard....even mark walters seems like a world beater compared to some of the s**** we have seen!

Riise and Aurelio were very good full backs at various times. The problems with them are well documented. Arbeloa was also fantastic.

 

Insua also wasn't s*** - and if Hodgson hadn't treated him like a hot potato, we might have found out.
