The first picture above reminded me, for some reason, of Ian Wallace in that brown Coventry City shirt. Oh the days of football in all it's innocence. Coventry City, brown shirts and football pitch rolled in circles. Love it.

If the same situation happened again, though, like if one of the well-regarded recent Liverpool captains ended up managing United quite successfully and one of his former team-mates ended up managing Liverpool about three times more successfully it'd be interesting to see how things went in respect of a thawing of relations and how much that might affect the fans. Probably not as far open-top Cup Final hand-holding action, agreed.
