Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) Can't see it posted, but a mate forwarded a clipping from the Sunday Times - from RAWK - showing how RFH's start isn't that bad compared to Rafa. I did some digging, the points totals they claim were all after 5 or 6 games, not 8 as they claimed. How can they get away with that? Edited October 27, 2010 by Macca
whitewidow Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 smoke and mirrors it is pretty poor that the facts are the central theme to that diagram/graphic etc and that they are wrong..... someone in their research department wants a straightener
CarraLegend Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 That is f***ing disgusting. But doesnt surprise me in the slightest.
benno2 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Have heard from some of The Times (not Sunday Times) journos on Twitter, that they had this mocked up and ready to run from 6 games in and then didn't adjust it for when they eventually ran it after 8. Schoolboy stuff and ridiculously poor for a newspaper of that supposed standard, but not necessarily part of an anti-Liverpool agenda.

benno2 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 anti-rafa agenda rather than an anti-liverpool agendaYep, thanks for correcting.
aka Dus Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 "Disagree? We thought so. Join Times Online now and get 3 months for the price of one...." Will be a wonderful sight to see their pay wall experiment crash and burn. Rupert thinks he has digital sussed, just like MySpace showed he had social networking sussed.

kop205 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 So,in sumary - Beinitez got more points from the first 6 games of a season than Hodgson has from the first 9 on all but one occasion. Thanks to The Times for pointing that out, however inadvertently.

Thanks to The Times for pointing that out, however inadvertently.'Hodgson is sh*t but at least he's English' shocker. There are not many times when I consciously am aware of being German and certainly not proud of it as it's accident of birth after all - but sometimes on the flip side I'm glad I'm not English.

Whoops we've played 9 not 8. Edited October 27, 2010 by Woodsyla
Frosty Jack Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 anti-rafa agenda rather than an anti-liverpool agenda same thing
aka Dus Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Had a Times Journo tweeting direct links her to her articles online when the pay wall was down the other day - excellent stuff - they don't like it either! They have about 300,000 subscribers after month 1, according to Nielsen. The newspaper industry are feigning delight with this, rubbing their hands. Will be interesting to see the Nielsen numbers after 6 and 12 months.
johngibo YPC Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 same thing On this point, it annoys me how many d****eads (Colin w***** being a good example) have said they can like Liverpool again now Rafa has gone. Like we are meant to be all made up
Elm0 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 So ignoring the misuse of figures, these clowns are using one example from all Rafa's seasons to prove that everything will be fine, despite Rafa doing a LOT better than Roy in all the rest of his seasons?
psl Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Someone should send this to mediawatch on football365.
smithdown Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Those who say they can now love Liverpool...I so f*ckin want Roy sacked and/or Rafa back so they get their eye wiped
fyds Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 It wasnt Tony Evans was it?No Caitlin Moran - hence 'her' So ignoring the misuse of figures, these clowns are using one example from all Rafa's seasons to prove that everything will be fine, despite Rafa doing a LOT better than Roy in all the rest of his seasons? And in this comparison to be fair - Rafa at his absolute nadir was still monkeys better than Roy who thinks 'we can't play better than this'

Like we are meant to be all made up Precisely, they didn't like Rafa because his Liverpool side was a threat. They like Hodgson.
Mike Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 nah. they don't like rafa because rafa didn't play the establishment game with the press.
