Elm0 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 http://twitter.com/DTguardian Behold, laud and applaud.
Barnesy_10 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Let's wait and see.... If his marriage gets sorted and some form returns before January then things may be different... Would laugh my t*** off if he goes though....
Coyler Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 This whole thing about no single player being bigger than Manchester United Alex Ferguson only really worked when the side had way more than one big player.* * F*ck the mockers.
Sion Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Cheeky bid? If anyone can resurrect his career, Roy can.
gulaman Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Ferguson only got rid off the other previous star players because they were past their best. Rooney still has his best years to come so Ferguson won't be selling him. Who does he replace him with?
aka Dus Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Smells like a Twitter story getting legs it shouldn't but if Daniel Taylor says he has it confirmed that Rooney won't sign a contract then that is pretty big news.

Chicccccccaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttttttttttooooooooooooooooo. To be fair, Ferguson might not have a choice if Rooney simply refuses to sign a new deal and buggers off on a Bosman. He'll still fetch about 30 million now.
Barnesy_10 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 The Mancs would probably end up pissing us off with this saga by signing Torres to replace Rooney
Superjay Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I said in work start of the summer I fully expect him and gerrard at real by the end of the season.
aka Dus Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 SkySports.com blithely ignoring the whole story. Staying on Ferguson's good side, for a change. BBC Sport swerving it too for now, as part of continuing efforts to get him to overturn his ban perhaps. The Mirror gone large since it's their exclusive. Fox, however, do give it a mention.... heh heh
Ostrich Man Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 The Mancs would probably end up pissing us off with this saga by signing Torres to replace Rooneytoo injury prone.
Epic Swindle Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Rooney won't go anywhere and there's only City who could afford him.
Bailo Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Rooney won't go anywhere and there's only City who could afford him.Wages wise I think there are a few and if he refuses to sign a new contract he won't be going for that much. Still don't buy it mind. Sounds like a dummy has been spat out and it won't take much to massage it back in.
growler Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Would be massive. With us having new owners and their debt and squad a it is, they could really death spiral from here. What other assets do they have left? Evra at best. Scholes gigs Owen van deR Saar Neville and possibly rio and fungus himself to call it quits in the summer.
aka Dus Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Heh heh, Ferguson getting the digs in early bensmith_times Ben Smith Only two newspapers have been allowed to attend the Ferguson/Gill#mufc press conference today ...
Cobs Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Heh heh, Ferguson getting the digs in early be nice if the other newspapers went to town on the fecker about it but as i ever i doubt they will
aka Dus Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 be nice if the other newspapers went to town on the fecker about it but as i ever i doubt they will Half them weren't even running the story this morning so I doubt it. They will take Ferguson's side until such a time as it looks like it will cost him his job.

They will take Ferguson's side until such a time as it looks like it will cost him his job. amazes me why they don't give him a panning for it - what have they got to lose? Nearly every one of them on Sunday Supplement seems to say they're banned from his press conferences. Why not make a bigger fuss? They're not going to get banned from Old Trafford, they can pick up MUTV for bolllocks Ferguson quotes to pad out their copy. it's weird. Edited October 18, 2010 by Cobs
gulaman Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 The link to Man City is absurd. They have a far superior forward in Tevez who is on fire for them, why would they possibly risk his form by accommodating pie boy? City won't be interested.

Tosh Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 So in the space of 12 hours we are debating a) the press not laying into this like the end of the world has come and speculating on what they might do post-Rooney andb) the press not laying into Woy when this time last year our manager was already "under-pressure" and "beleagured" Hhhhmmmm
