Baggsy.

 

I hope we don't just p*ss away a bunch of money on mediocre players (though TBF we've always done well in January). But we do need to strengthen the team dramatically not only to finish in the top six this season, but also to get a jump start on next year.

 

We still need a left back.

We need a real star in the middle of the back four.

We need to get a legitimate strong player to sit in front of the back four.

We need width.

We need 2-3 players for up front.

 

I also think from a psychological standpoint it would be great for us to buy one really good player in January. To really buck up the club (though I have to say that today was quite full of buck). That being the case, I'd like to propose a purchase.

Well we need a lot but we wont get much of it in Jan with a thin market and inflated prices...I do think they'll try and make a bit of a statement with one, maybe two high profile signings but then again that depends on who is available.

I'd be quite happy for a negative net spend.

 

Sure, it would see us continue to struggle but if NESV take £30m out of the club in January it may just be enough to give Hick's heart it's final beat.

Whilst at the moment I don't disagree, if he's still here come Jan 1st it will be because he's turned things around. If that's the case then it's a different story.

I'll just be happy if the money we supposedly had at the end of the last window for a striker reappears to sign said striker. Don't trust Roy to make any important and long lasting players.

There are plenty of decent CB's 'out there' BTW. Whatever that means

My prioritys would be a big dominant CB, a LB, striker and a CM. Not sure about any names - I quite like Defour.

 

Longer term we need to sort out the wide positions once and for all with some quality,

We still need the players we needed in the summer, the replacements for those that left in the summer and we need to get rid of the players we signed in the summer.

 

For that - Hodgson needs sacking alone. Not to mention 6 points in 7 games and the bulls*** he's come out with about protests and understaffing.

 

There's not one single positive about his tenure so far. Not a jot. Even the books he likes are f***ing s****.

 

 

I agree we need a really dominant CB - I'm not that sure about Cahill. Cahill and a really dominant centre back I'd be really happy with - I see him as a really top class lieutenant for a big lad with a bit of pace and a brain. Lucio would have been perfect 3 years ago.

first off we need two proper wingers IMO, if you got wingers with pace, ball control and some intelligence it makes life so much easier for you. The opposing team will be worried about you on the counter attack, often they wont push up as high and when we attack we get to stretch the field, allowing more space for those in the middle.

 

Id like us to sign Young and either Mata, Soldado, Hernandes.
