johngibo YPC Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Just wondered what people felt we should be doing in terms of protests now with current developments?Should we still be looking to target Hicks/Gillett and if so how?Should we still be looking to target RBS? If so, how? Or are we happy waiting and seeing now?
smithdown Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 "Gerrabaghead!" What games have we got - Napoli? Guessing you've seen that text about the main stand.

Leo No.8 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I think we should protest against Hodgson, and burn a big effigy of the old lesbian.
johngibo YPC Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 I think that the developments have certainly helped but its not over. The protests should continue imho. Yes but what, exactly
Chili Palmer Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Yes but what, exactly I'm all for holding the judges family hostage until he makes his decision, but thats just me...
johngibo YPC Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 What games have we got - Napoli? Guessing you've seen that text about the main stand. Blackburn two weeks away and then NapoliBut feel we should be doing something before then. But can't think what Can we f*** up this investment thing Hicks is trying to get going somehow? I'm all for holding the judges family hostage until he makes his decision, but thats just me... We should be looking to attend this court hearing actually shouldn't we
stressederic Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 It's a bit difficult to say at the moment. By the time we next play, this could all be over. I'd probably plan for another protest at our next homegame but, hopefully, it won't be necessary. Maybe then just have a big 'f*** of Tom and George' party instead.
Bigal Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I'm all for holding the judges family hostage until he makes his decision, but thats just me... Don't you start on this x-factor furore....
Chili Palmer Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 We should be looking to attend this court hearing actually shouldn't we Especially if the rumours that Hicks is personally attending turn out to be true.
Molby Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 assuming G and H are gone we could appropriate the Radiohead song - Karma Police "this is what you get when you mess with us"
Leo No.8 Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 (edited) Its a funny situation, because if we've changed ownership then we can all stand down. But if Hicks wins the court case we need to start planning the most major action so far, and I think with all the publicity this has brought there would be many, many more people willing to get involved. Just about everyone will go apesh*t if Hicks changes the board and finances, hell would be unleashed. I've said consistently that I've been in favour of giving Broughton time throughout the process he'd mapped out, but if Hicks destroys that then there is nothing left to hold onto. leveller Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 SoS should now turn their attentions to shipping out the useless, clueless, classless manager that the old regime appointed and replacing him with a good one who gets us, gets the city, who bamboozles the press, who refuses to suck up to the LMA, who tells it like it is...he'd be quite good...whoever he may be?
Mike Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 sos should absolutely not try and do anything remotely connected with matters on the pitch.

RBM Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Can't stand down yet, until it's signed sealed and delivered. Then we should focus on getting the c*** Roy Hodgson out. I'm also all for making anything Hicks tries to do in the future as difficult as possible.
Mike Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 got to say it's embarrassing to hear fans saying they will campaign for the manager to be ousted. like f***ing newcastle fans.
leveller Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 even I would say that that's unconstutional that's as maybe...somebody needs to represent the fans. The fans don't want RFHTC, if nobody makes those feelings known to the new owners then they won;t think there's a problem or they will but it will be too late....... got to say it's embarrassing to hear fans saying they will campaign for the manager to be ousted. like f***ing newcastle fans. With all due respect...f*** off Mike. I have never in over 40 years called for the head of a manager but this one is so out of his depth and so associated with the "old regime" he's nowhere to go. Not like a Newcastle fan at all.

They shouldn't need telling by anyone. Last thing we should be doing.

As much as I think that Hodgson is not the man for us and I would like him to be replaced I actually agree with this. bulls***. results will get rid of the manager, not you. yeah this

Just to add, I was joking when I said we should protest againts and burn effigies of Hodgson! Interesting some people seem to be taking it seriously! Edited October 7, 2010 by Leo No.8
Bailo Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 bulls***. results will get rid of the manager, not you.Bit weird that. Anyway, I don't agree with SOS getting involved in a campaign against RH - we could all agree on G&H (apart from a mental few), but the managers position is going to be far more divided and SOS can't represent any one party effectively. They're not even considering it though right? Seems a bit premature.
leveller Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 (edited) bulls***. results will get rid of the manager, not you. Yes but when...this is the issue. We should (and some of us did) protest at the time of the guys appointment i.e haven't changed our minds since. That is way too unlike Newcastle. If I was a Newcastle fan, I'd have had Roys face tattooed on my chest and gone to the ground to sing his praises and then changed my mind Edit: @Leo, was not being entirely serious, just hope Roy doesn't try and mess with the cheap away travel Edited October 7, 2010 by leveller
