1. The Kop and quite a lot of Liverpool fans applauding the Blackpool players.

2. The way the Blackpool players conducted themselves after the whistle. They were well within their rights to go ape s*** but chose not to.

Couldn't agree more, was really proud of the way the fans applauded the Blackpool players at the end, and at the start of the second half.

 

Was also proud of the way the Kop drowned out the boos that rang out from the rest of the ground at the final whistle.

Something that impressed me was how we managed to restrict them to 2-0 at HT.

 

Welll i think you have to credit that to Hodgson. See, he's complaining about the performance of the team during the first half, when the players are in their RFH positions and allow teams to come at us. Then, when we're losing and he decides to play everyone in their natural position and we begin to press forward, we amazingly player better.

 

It's genius psychology. No one, not even God or Charlie Nicholas, knows what the f*** he is trying to achieve.

Holloway's interview was class as well. I'd rather have him than Hodgson. By a long way. At least he shows a bit of passion and genuine diginity, not forced like Uncle Roy.

 

Hope we get to play them next year in the championship.

The one thing we have left is our dignity as supporters of Liverpool Football Club. Applauding Blackpool off yesterday meant we held onto that.

 

Our team might not be much good anymore, we may be owned by filth who are running the club into the ground financially, but we need to remember what it is makes us special as a club and that isn't any one player or result - it is the supporters. Now, if anytime is the time we need to stand up and be counted. We need to get behind the team and the so far utterly hapless manager because its the only way we can maintain our dignity.

 

Lord knows I felt like booing yesterday but I f*cking won't, we don't do it to our own. We need to keep our pride and our reputation as supporters at this darkest of times in our history - attack the owners and the banks, support the team and the coaching staff.

If that's what I was trying to say I would have said it.

 

The booing started around me at the final whistle too, but it lasted about 5 seconds and was replaced by applause for Blackpool.

I don't class him as one of ours, though, Leo. His comments to the press have been ridiculous - the comparison with small clubs, for example.

No idea who it was directed to. Life maybe

 

I done that too. I'm not sure it was aimed at either. Then i went in to a huff and hit the seat in front of me.

 

Haven't been that angry at a match since Southampton beat us in Houllier's lasts eason. Ormerod scored for them.

He is making a complete fool of himself in the press at the moment, but he is still our manager. Discuss it and say what you want on here, but for me at the game - no matter how bad it gets I don't want to hear booing for Hodgson or any of the players.
