"The manager's philosophy is that we pay football in attack, but not at the back. That's not my style. I'm not that type of player. I like to keep the ball on the ground, and that's what I'll keep doing. Time will show if he (Hodgson) doesn't want to play me because of that".

"I'll try to change myself, but I will never be a player who hoofs the ball at every opportunity."

" I'll fight for my chance. I know what I stand for, and I think he (Hodgson) does too".

"It's the manager's decision. We have to respect that. That's how it is".

Wait i thought he was happy with what Hodgson is doing?

Aggers one of the best passers we've got, and seeing as our CMs can barely pick a pass between them having someone confident and comfortable in brining out the ball would be a big asset.

Plus, you know, hes the best CB we have.

He did speak to Danish television after the game today. He told the reporter that Hodgson has changed the stile of footie from Rafa and now wants defenders hoofing the ball instead of playing football out of defence.

He will love Carra then.

You can't blame him seeing Skrtel and Carra stinking out the place every week and still getting picked. He should keep his mouth shut though.

I disagree with the manager picking others ahead of him, and I disagree with the 'hoof it' philosophy, but if he's told to hoof it then he should hoof it. I couldn't give a s*** what he "stands for".

Our passing out of defence was fine today. There was hardly any walloping it forward blind, which was unusual for us. Maybe because the mancs will allow you to play but still. I think he's just unhappy about not being picked.

I thought people were highlighting Agger's comments of a few days ago as signs of how wonderful things were under Roy. Did I dream that?

No its true they were.

if he just said that, I'd support him. he should be getting picked ahead of Skrtel and Carragher.

talking about his f***ing football philosophy is kuntish.

Alternatively, complaining about not being picked can be written off as sour grapes while saying this makes a more worrying pov

it's not his place to decide on our tactics.

he deserves to be dropped if he's saying he'll ignore instructions.

Hooooooooof.

Passing out of defence ? We rarely got 40 yards from our box.

Said a couple of weeks ago it was a worrying sign if Skrtel is being picked ahead of Danny for any reason other than injury.

Aye, but not a surprise. He comes across as someone who can cause a bit of friction if he's not in the team and is not shy of giving his opinion.
